Crafty Hos Challenge

Remember--on every Sunday there will be a challenge posted on the blog at http://craftyhoschallenge.blogspot.com/.  The challenge this week is to create a one-layer card with ribbon and button/buttons.  For me, this was really a challenge!  Be sure to check out the cards that the DT made--some really cute ones!  For my card, I used a stamp from Papertrey's Button Bits.  I colored with copics, but everything else that I used was from Papertrey.  Sorry the sentiment (Friends are flowers in life's garden) looks blurry.  I was told it is really hard to photograph the sentiment on grosgrain ribbon.  Play along with us--it was fun!

Going Green Blog Hop

If you happened by my blog accidentally, STOP!  Go back to our challenge blog, and start at the beginning! The link to that blog is http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.com/.   We are in the middle of a fantastic Going Green BLOG HOP!!!!!  What does that mean? You can play along with us, stop at our blogs and comment, and make a challenge card.  You have until next Saturday, March 6, at 7:00 a.m.  Three overall prizes will be given, and one lucky person will win a free Bugaboo image just by commenting on my blog!  You can't beat this!  Your challenge card can be St. Patrick's Day themed, just green in color, or it can even showcase something you normally would have thrown away. Don't throw it away--use it on your card! Just be sure to comment on every card!  I have three cards that I am going to share with you. All three of mine use the St. Patrick's Day theme (Liz gives out about 15 cards on every holiday, so I may as well get a good start!)
My first card uses an image called Valentine Critters--Frog.  I turned the heart in his hand into a shamrock, used both sides of some St. Patrick's Day DP, used cardstock from Papertrey, cut out mats with scalloped scissors, added a sentiment from Papertrey, glittered it up with stickles, and added green rhinestones.  I think he's cute!

My next card uses the image called Gus--Marriages.  I again used both sides of designer paper, cut out mats with nestabilities, colored with copics, added green and red rhinestones, and computer generated a sentiment saying "I love green beer".  I think Gus looks Irish, sitting there enjoying his green beer, don't you?

My last card is my favorite!  It is from the Skelekinz line, called I Miss You.  Our Liz is a redhead--and looks like the poster child for Ireland.  No one would mistake her for any ethnicity other than Irish.  This card reminds me of her!  I used Papertrey cardstock, some green glitter paper plus green polka dot glitter paper.  The image was colored with copics (I even followed Gabby's tutorial on coloring hair--and I am pleased with the way it turned out).  There are two rhinestone shamrocks in the corners of the image.  The inside of the card (why do I always forgot to take pictures of those?) says--"I wish I were Irish!"

Be sure to play along with us.  We want you to share in the fun.  When you are finished here, be sure to move on to Melissa's blog at http://ihaveprettierstuff.blogspot.com/.  (She does, too!  Her blog is wonderful!)  Keep moving through the design team, and be sure to leave a comment at your final stop on the second post.  Be sure to comment on my post (today--and always--and everyone else's too!).  Someone will win a free digital image.

One Last Challege Card (Friday's 3rd--and Last Post of the Day)

Although Liz's school did have another snow day yesterday (I think that is a total of 10!--way too many), we do have a warmer forecast for over the weekend.  I am SO ready for Spring, and I thought maybe an Easter card would help cheer me up a little.  I love this image from Jodie at http://www.bugaboostamps.com/.  The image is called Valentine critters--bunny, and it makes a great Easter card!  I used Papertrey pink and yellow card (love these springy colors together!) along with DP from an Urban Oasis mat pack.  I stacked some prima flowers held together with a pink brad, and added six pink rhinestones.  The sketch is an old one from charisma cardz.  Feels good to have a start on Easter cards, plus to think of Spring!

This card will be entered into the following challenge:
Challenge #36 was to have an Easter theme.

Be sure to check back with Bugaboo Stamps' Design Team tomorrow, as we will be having a "Go Green" Blog Hop challenge.  There will be an opportunity to win images, plus to win a "little something" on my blog also.  Hope to see you then!  Check out Bugaboo's freebie and new images later today!  Look at the mini sets also, as they are new.

Another Card for the Friday Freebie Image!

Ah, my second card made with the free image from Jodie at http://www.bugaboostamps.com/.  For this Scarlette image, I used all SU papers--gray cardstock plus three different designer papers in gray plus one in yellow.  I matted with oval nestabilities, colored with copics, and added a Heidi Swapp ghost flower with a giant yellow "gem" on top.  This was a sketch from one of the old sketch challenges from last week (and for the life of me, I can't remember which one!  Forgive me--I do have "senior moments").  I do love this layout.  Here's my card:

This card will be entered into a challenge at:
For this challenge, "anything goes!"

Be sure to check out these images!

Friday Freebie Day!

It's Friday Freebie Day at http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ and what a wonderful image this Friday!  Jodie has named this new character Scarlette--and she is young and chic!  I love this one!  For my card I used Papertrey cardstock, ribbon from JoAnn's, a small accent piece of gold glitter paper from my stash, green/gold polka dot paper from Big Lots, and circle shapes from nestabilities.  I colored the image with copics, added crystal effects on her shoes and purse, and used sparkly fluff by The Craft Lounge on Scarlette's hair!  I love this stuff.  It is like a mixture of glitter and fun flock.  Scarlette's hair (although you may not be able to tell from the card!) is textured, fluffy, and sparkly.  Here's my card!

This card will be entered into several challenges that can be found at:
Challenge # 31 was to make something "touchy feely".  My card has the glitter paper, the crystal effects on her shoes and purse, and (of course!) the sparkly fluff on Scarlette's hair.
The challenge was to make a card that was "Vegas Style" with glitz, glamour, and glitter.  Scarlette sure does have that with the glamourous image, the glitter paper, the shiny shoes and purse, and the sparkly, fluffy hair.
This challenge was to make a birthday greeting.  The inside of this card (although I didn't show it) does say "It's Your Day!  Celebrate in Style!"

Be sure to head over to http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ sometime day (remember that Jodie is on a different time zone than I am--and doesn't always get things posted as early as I do) and check out this freebie Scarlette image, as well as the rest of the line.  I can't wait to get some more Scarlette images.  I'll be back later with another Scarlette card.

Oldie but Goodie Day

On Thursdays, we showcase older images from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/.  Since Jodie (the owner and designer) always has a new release on Tuesdays and gives at least one freebie on Fridays, there are always lots of "oldies" to use.  Be sure to go over to her site and check the images.  I'm sure you will find something you like!  For today's card, I used an image called Dino--tall matted on circle nestabilities, used DP from Tuesday Mornings, Papertrey cardstock, added a flower brad, and computer generated a sentiment "dino-mite".  I thought that sentiment was perfect for this little boy's card.

Challenge Card # 3 (Keep going! There are six posts from today!)

My third (and last) challenge card for today another image from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/.  In fact, this image (mouse with Baby) is one of the two free images for you this week.  How can you resist that?  Head over and download these images.  I thik it makes a really cute card.  I used Papertrey cardstock (love the aqua and yellow together!), ribbon, and button, and DP from my stash.  I colored the image with copics, and made this into a joyfold card.  I hadn't done one of these in a while, and I had forgotten how fun they are.  I used the button to hold the yellow flap down securely!

I found two challenges for this card:
Challenge #25 was for a fancy fold.
Challenge #11 is called "It's Childish".

Challenge Card # 2

My second card used one of the images fromt the line Bugaboo Brats that Jodie http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ released over the weekend.  It is called BB Sean.  Be sure to check them out, as you will certainly want all of them!  This card used paper from SU, cardstock from Papertrey, two felt flowers from Tuesday Mornings, and a smile (? unknown manufacturer) sentiment stamped on SU oval punches.  The sketch is one from http://papermakeupstamps.blogspot.com/.

Isn't he just too cute!  This card will go into the following challenges:
This was challenge #14--a sketch challenge (created by our guest designer--Gabby!)
Challenge # 13 was to use one digital image and 3 pieces of paper and 5 embellishments.
Challenge #7 was to create a masculine card.  (Okay, so mine is for a "little" man!)

Challenge Card # 1

I made three cards that I am going to enter into challenges.  This is the first one of these.  The image is from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ and is called Chef Pierre Cake.  For this card I used DP from an Urban Oasis mat pack, Papertrey cardstock, ribbon, and buttons, and colored the image with copics. I used a rub-on on the ribbon. The sketch is one from 365 cards (Day 357).  Turned out nice for a masculine card, I think!

This card will be entered into the following challenges:
Challenge #7 was to create a masculine card.
This was the sketch challenge for day 357.

New Release # 2

I think get well cards are really hard to make.  I personally like a funny card, that will hopefully make the recipient laugh.  I think this new line of Jodie's (http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ does just that!  Stella has been around before, but this time at Bugaboo she is a nurse.  She is holding up a hospital gown (UGH!) and asking "Why do you think it's called ICU".  This ought to cheer up anybody!  My card is on red paPapertrey cardstock with Papertrey buttons, and it has DP from my stash.  I colored with copics and used a sketch from Friday Sketchers.  Be sure to check at Bugaboo Stamps later today.  I can't wait to see the rest of the images in these lines!

This card will be entered into the following challenges:
This was a sketch challenge for week 90.
Challenge # 29 was to create a get well card.
This challenge also was to create a get well soon card.

New Release Day at Bugaboo Stamps

Jodie (at http://www.bugaboostamps.com/) is releasing two new lines today--and they are cute!!!!!  The first card I am showing is from the line called "Bugaboo Baby" and my image is called Peekaboo.  The image is of a baby popping out of a wrapped box.  I cut the image apart, hinged it with a brad, and angled the top from the bottom.  I used DP from an Urban Oasis mat pack, three mats cut by nestabilities (one of which was run through my cuttlebug), and added ribbon from JoAnn's and a crocheted flower.  Cute, huh?

Rock Star Blog Hop Winner!

I am so sorry!  I forgot to choose the winner yesterday (as I said I would!)  Today, I used the random.org site--and comment #16 was chosen as the winner.  That comment was posted by Sarah, also know as Washington Stamper.  I will be in contact with her about her prize.  To everyone--thanks for playing.

Sarah (WA Stamper) already had the large image, so she will get the two sentiments.  The next winner is Heather and I will go on and send her all three.  Congratulations ladies.  (Heather--be sure to send me your e-mail address.  Sarah, I will wait until I hear from Heather, so that I only have to make one transaction).  Thanks!

Another Challenge Card!

For my second challenge card today, I used another http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ image called Fanny Calendar--October.  This card used some designer paper from my stash, Papertrey cardstock, Papertrey ribbon, some burgundy pearls, a green Prima flower, a Papertrey button, and two SU oval punches.  I computer generated a sentiment that says "What's new, Pussycat?"  The size of the card is a 5" square, and I used a sketch from delightful sketches.

This card will be entered into the following two challenges:
This was a sketch challenge.
This challenge was called "Naughty or Nice"

A challenge card!

Jodie (http://www.bugaboostamps.com/) released a new line over the weekend--and are they ever awesome!  The line is called Bugaboo Brats, and there are seven images of adorable boys or girls.  I love them all!  The card that I am showing today uses the image called Isabella Stroller, and is it ever cute!!!!!  I used DP from My Mind's Eye and SU, three Papertrey buttons, Papertrey ribbon, and Papertrey cardstock, some lace from JoAnn's, and added stickles to her Mary Jane shoes.  I colored this image with copics.  This sketch is one from The Pink Elephant Challenge from today.  My card:

This card will be entered into the following challenges:
Challenge #037 was to use Paper Piecing on your card.  I paper pieced Isabella's dress, as well as the stroller.
Challenge # 55 was a sketch challenge.

Crafty Hos Challenge Blog

Hey--I'm part of another DT group!  A group of ladies who have met on SCS have a group--called the Crafty Hos.  We will be running challenges on our challenge blog at http://craftyhoschallenge.blogspot.com/.  Please go and check us out!  The first challenge is to "Think Spring", which is surely something that I want to be doing!  We still have so much snow around here, but it is supposed to rain this weekend.  Thank goodness it is not snow!  Now for my card!  I used Bazill Bling cardstock for the base, Papertrey cardstock for the rest, designer paper from an Urban Oasis mat pack, image and sentiment from Taylored Expressions, SU ribbon, images colored with copics, and a small pink rhinestone bling in the center of the heart.  A few sparkles were added to the turtles with a Sakhura glitter pen.  Although this looks like a Valentine card, it could certainly be used for other occasions--and the colors do suggest spring!  Be sure to check out our challenge blog!

Blog Hop Continues until Monday am

I will award my prize (three digi stamps from Paper Makeup) on Monday at noon!  Please continue to post comments.

Gabby--We Love You!

PROJECT ROCKSTAR BLOG HOP IN PROGRESS!!!

If you just happened on my blog, be sure you head over to Joni's blog at http://astickysituation.blogspot.com/ and start at the beginning.  Several of us--all friends and admirers of Gabby (guest designer for Bugaboo Stamps for the month of February) , are participating in a blog hop to show her what we think of her!  She does the most amazing cards--and is definitely the best colorer that I have ever seen!  If you don't believe me, go over to http://www.confessionsofastamper.blogspot.com/ and check out her work.  She is the best!!!!!  Paper Makeup Stamps has three stamps in honor of Gabby at http://www.papermakeupstamps.com/ called You Rock My World, Music for the Soul, and Moody for Rock.  I used two of those stamps on my card.  One lucky person (selected at random from comments left on this post) will win all three of those stamps from Paper Makeup Stamps.  Now, about my card--I used DCWV paper from the Rockstar Stack (only seemed appropriate), Papertrey cardstock, punched out with nestabilities, colored with copics, ribbon from JoAnn's, highlighted areas with Sakhura glitter pen, a star embellishment and red rhinestones added to the sentiment.  I love this image, and I love you Gabby!  Next on the blog hop is Roxie at http://geiserglitter.blogspot.com/.  Be sure to continue the hop!

Friday Freebie Day!

Yeah for Fridays!  Jodie from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ always offers us one free stamp--today she will have two!!!!! Both are really nice, but this one, Flower Tag #1, really caught my eye!We still have almost two feet of snow on the ground here, so anything spring-looking was great for me.  I used Papertrey cardstock and ribbon, DP from Urban Oasis (purchased a mat pack at Tuesday Mornings for $1.99), circle nestabilities, a sentiment from AMuse, and colored this image with Twinkling H20s.  I haven't used those in forever--and I love the way it turned out.  Don't know if you can see or not, but there is a lot of shimmer in the image.  I can't wait to see the rest of this line!  Be sure to check it out.

Challenge # 4--Last for the Day! (5 of 5 posts for Today!)

My last card is one that I love!  My husband and I were high school sweethearts--and we both turn 65 this year.  Therefore, so do many of our friends!  I thought that this image from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ called Stella Birthday Over the Hill was a perfect one to use!  I found some black "over the hill" ribbon in my stash and used it to add to the iamge that I colored with copics.  My cardstock is from Papertrey, and DP was from a mat pack.  I cut out the mat with scalloped scissors and added blue pearls to the card.

This card will be entered into a challenge at:
FTTC54 Challenge was "All About Me--Use What You Love".  I did; I used Bugaboo's Stella image, designer paper, ribbon, and bling.

Challenge Card # 3

I have a hard time making masculine cards--and especially cards for little boys!  When I first saw this http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ called Dinos--stand, I knew I had found the perfect image for a little boy.  I used DP from a mat pack that I had, Papertrey cardstock, mats from green glitter paper, and two flower embellishments that I found at Tuesday Mornings (69 cents for an assostment of felt flowers!).  I added a SU sentiment "Wish", and placed bright green accents on the front.  Thought some little boy will be happy to receive this birthday card.

This card will be entered into the following challenges:
For Challenge # 79, you were supposed to use Green + One.  I used the bright green plus the yellowish color.
Challenge # 11 was "It's Childish"

Challenge Card # 2

I created a Spring card, not a card showing spring, but a spring card.  I followed Sandy Hulsart's tutorial on Splitcoaststampers--and it was easy!  My card used an image from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ called Spring Birds--babies which was colored with copics.  I mounted the image on circle nestabilities, added yellow rick rack, two Papertrey buttons, and two flowers from Michaels that I colored to match my image.  The inside of the spring card (which I forgot to show) has a sentiment from My Favorite Things that says "Hanging with my Peeps".  I thought this would make a really cute Easter card.

This will be entered into the following challenges:
Challenge #91--Spring is in the Air
Challenge was called Check This Out--and the challenge was to use a gingham check (I used paper).
For Challenge # 22, you were to color embellishments with copics (I did the flowers) plus use an Easter theme.
For Challenge # 30, you were to "Think Spring".

Challenge Card # 1

I have some cards to share with you today--and to enter into challenges.  The first one is very different from my "usual" style.  I used some tulip paper (some of the good value paper that I found at my Tuesday Mornings store) and used copic markers to match the colors in the paper.  The image I used is one from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ called Flower Blocks--Tulip2.  I printed these images close together to resemble a quilt block.  I punched out a border (Martha Stewart punch) to attach the quilt block to, used Papertrey cardstock, added a Heidi Swapp ghost flower and a flower from Michaels (colored it to match!), put on a rhinestone, and found the perfect sentiment on my Papertrey Quilt stamp set.

This card will be entered into the following challenges:
Challenge # 91 called for a card with this theme:  Spring is in the Air.
This challenge was to "ThinkSpring".
Challenge # 6 was "Let Us See Flowers".

Oldie but Goodie Day

At http://www.bugaboostamps.com/, Thursdays are always "oldie but goodie" day.  Even though Bugaboo is a fairly new company, we spotlight older images on Thursday.  Today I used an image from the line called A Kid's View Cowboy.  It is the guitar image in that line.  I have a nephew who plays the guitar, and I thought it would be the perfect card for him.  I used some DP with music on it, added a sentiment "rock on", colored the image with copics, used scalloped scissors to mat the image, and glued on a red rhinestone star.  Do you like it?  Be sure to check out the Bugaboo site.  There are so many wonderful images there!

Challenge # 4--Last for the Day! (4 of 4)

I found a challenge for a teen birthday card--and I decided to go to the source for help!  I asked Liz (our 17 year old) to help me pick out an image to use (I don't always seem to be able to figure out teenagers, so I thought I would ask).  To my surprise, she picked out the Skelekinz Baby image from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/.  It's not one that I would have chosen for a teenager--but again!  What do I know!  Liz said that her friends would love this card.  I used some leftover Halloween argyle plaid/polka dot paper that I had (skeltons on it!) and added two flowers that also had skeltons.  I colored with copics, used my label I nestabilities, and made a tent card.  I also added stickles to the top of the baby rattle.

This card will be entered into the following challenges:
This challenge was to make a teen birthday card.  (Remember, my teenager picked this card!)
Another card for the Vampy Vampyress Macabre Monday #026 challenge.
Challenge #36--Plaid Out!
This challenge #66 referred to the movie Clueless, which showed a lot of plaid.  You were to use plaid on your card.

Challenge Card # 3

My third card is one that I really like!  It uses another www.Bugaboostamps.com/ image from the JJ Hobbies line called JJ--Baking.  It has a wonderful sentiment "I kiss better than I cook" from a Lizzie Anne set that I bought at CHA.  I used three types of designer paper from my stash, Papertrey cardstock and ribbon, colored with copics, and added two prima flowers with an orange brad.  This is one of my favorite color combos--aquas and orange!  This card is a 4" swaure card.

It will be entered into the following challenges:
It was sketch # 37.  (By the way, I love this sketch!)
This challenge was a recipe challenge--3-2-1.  I used 3 kinds of designer paper, 2 flowers, 1 ribbon.

Challenge Card # 2

Next I found a challenge for digital Christmas cards!  How fun--no Valentines!  I used another image from one of my three favorite lines (Gus) from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ called Gus Christmas--Got Cookies.  I used some DP that I picked up at our Tuesday Morning store (always check them out--they have some great buys on paper and supplies!), ribbon and flowers from Michaels, Papertrey cardstock--some cut with my EK Success border punch, and SU oval punches.  It was fun making a Christmas card!  This card will be entered in the challenge at http://dcdchristmasclub.blogspot.com/.  Fun challenge!

Challenge Card # 1

I mentioned yesterday that I was sick of making Valentines and using red and pink.  I was thrilled when I found  challenges asking for something for Halloween!  My first card is one that Liz (our 17 year old) loves!  She thinks that Jodie's (www.bugaboostamps.com/) Skelekinz line is just perfect!  (I agree--I think it is my favorite line, too--along with Gus and Stella).  I used some leftover Halloween paper that I had, Papertrey cardstock, colored the image with copics, and added Papertrey buttons).  Think she turned out really cute!  This card will be entered into a challenge at http://haunteddesignhouse.blogspot.com/, Macabre Monday # 026--Vampy Vampyress.

Tuesday New Release # 1 (Keep Checking--5 posts for Today!)

We are in the middle of a horrendous snow storm!  We are expecting around 10" of new snow--and we already had about 12" of old snow.  I live in Kentucky, usually considered part of the South.  What is going on?!!!!!  When I am snowbound (and I am!), I do three things:  I cook, I do laundry, and I make cards!  Please bear with me today and tomorrow as I share with you all of the cards I have made!  First let's talk about the new release. Jodie, at http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ (sometime today) will be releasing two new lines--more Stellas and a new dog line.  I will first be sharing my Stella card with you.  The image is called Stella--Monday.On this card I used SU cardstock and designer paper, plus Papertrey cardstock.  My cutting blade was worn out, so I roughed up the edges of the cardstock (I got a new blade yesterday before the snow started:)); I colored the image with copics, and added a crocheted flower with a rhinestone center (I love those crocheted flowers).  Cute, cute image--I know that I will want more from this line!  Now, for my card . . . .

This card will be entered into the challenge at http://www.pollycraftchallengeblog.blogspot.com/
For this challenge, you were to use two images.  I hope this counts, as I used one for Stella, plus the image for the sentiment.

Challenge Card # 3

Although I am sick of snow--I love this card!  I used an image from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ called Ruby Calendar--November. Ruby sure looks like she is bundled up for the weather around here--snowy and cold!  I used three different types of designer paper from my stash (snowflake, dots, and stripes), unknown cardstock, oval nestabilities for the image and mat, two Heidi Swapp ghost design snowflakes that I bought at CHA, and added rhinestones to the snowflakes.  The card is a 5" square card (I am starting to love this size card, especially since I found some envelopes to fit ON SALE!!!  I got these Ruby calendar images because I wanted to make a calendar--but I am loving these images on cards!  Ruby is very chic!!!

This Ruby card will go into the following challenges:
Challenge # 89 was this wonderful sketch challenge.
This was called a 3-2-1 "Recipe with a Difference"
I used 3 different patterns of designer paper (snowflakes, stripes, and dots; 2 snowflakes--2 brads, and 1 image.
Fun challenge!  I love this card!!!!!

There is a free digi giveaway at http://instylestampsblog.blogspot.com/
Go there and chose a free stamp for yourself!  I'm going to.

Challenge Card # 2

This is a pyramid card.  I used an image from www.bugaboostamps.com/ called Butterfly Bear # 4,DP from my stash, Papertreycardstock, colored the image with copics, used round nestabilities, and added rhinestones to the corners.  I like the way that the pyramid card folds flat so that you really couldsend it.  I followed directions from http://stampowl.blogspot.com/2008/02/pyramid-card.html to make this card.

This card will entered into the challenge at http://thesecretcraftersaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/
Challenge # 70 was to create a multifold card.

Challenge Card # 1

Back with some challenge cards!  First is a card that I will be using in a swap on Splitcoast Stampers.  It is a flower swap, hosted by Barbaralynn.  I used the www.Bugaboostamps.com/ image called Flower Watercans--Violet.  Thought this was a beautiful image!  I used DP from my stash, papertrey cardstock and ribbon, a felt butterfly that I bought at CHA, and a sketch from SSDS (more about that later!)  Here is my card:

This card will be entered in the following three challenges:
This sketch from Stamp, Scrap, and Doodle Saturdays was a fun one to use!
This challenge # 126 was to use the colors purple and green.
This challenge was to show love and a butterfly.  It cerrtainly takes love to grow violets--so this must fit the rules.

New Release! # 2

My second new release card is from Jodie's Rottweiler line.  I am more of a cat person than a dog person, but I do like this card!  For it, I used some old SU cardstock, DP from Big Lots (great price--25 sheets for $1.00), colored the image with copics, added a "friend" tag, and placed a dog bone paper clip on the image.  I accented the circle nestabilities with blue stickles.  The sketch is an old one from Sweet Sunday sketches.  Here is my card:

This card will be entered into three challenges:
This challenge # 45 is called "It's all About the Animals" and you were supposed to use an image of an animal.
For Lexi's Creations Challenge # 7, you were supposed to use spots or striped.  My DP has stripes, and the paw prints are made by spots.
This Australian challenge required you to "Punch it Out".  I used nestability plain and circle dies to punch out the image and mat.

Another Challenge Card

I found a challenge sketch that I love!  It can be found at http://critterchallengeblog.blogspot.com/.  For this challenge, you were to use the sketch--and be sure to include the color red somewhere on your card (I used red rhinestones--and colored one balloon and the cannister red).  My card is made with SEI paper, Papertrey cardstock, scalloped scissors, the image (http://www.bugaboostamps.com/) called Stella Birthday Alternative was colored with copics, SU polka dot ribbon, and--to use that color red--rhinestones added around the image.  Hope you like it.

Remember to play along in the Bugaboo "Go for the Gold" Challenge.

Anything but a Card Day at Bugaboo

Yes, it is anything but a card day at http://www.bugaboostamps.com/, and do I have a project for you!  Right after Christmas, my friend Tammy picked up some reduced items for me that could be altered.  (This items were greatly reduced--after a holiday is a great time to look for bargains!)  This cute bottle was one of them.  It was filled with some type of drink mix--and I quickly got rid of that!  I removed all packaging from the outside, and started thinking what I could do with this.  I decided to make a container for coffee/cocoa mix, along with a recipe card for the coffee/cocoa mix.  The recipe is one from Martha's recipes, and it is great (especially for the weather we are having here.  It is snowing again with up to 9" expected!)  I used the image from Bugaboo called Christmas mice--cocoa on both the jar and the recipe card.  I colored both images to match, using copics.  The cups image at the bottom of the jar is from The Craft Lounge coffee set, and it is adhered to Papertrey DP. I punched out hearts to decorate, squeezed on some liquid applique for marshmallows, and used nestie ovals.  I am so pleased with the way this turned out.  This will make a great gift for someone!

This project will be entered in the challenge at:

Card # 4--Scroll on Down--4 posts for Today!!

My last card is an invitation for all of you!  It uses the image Ruby--July (USA), DP from my stash, cut out circle and stars from the cricut, and assorted rhinestones.  It was supposed to say Team USA, but I did not notice that I put the wrong computer-generated sentiment on until I had already photographed it!  Oh well!  Be sure to participate in our challenge no later than 7 a.m. (EST) on February 20.  I can't wait to see the beautiful cards that you create!!!  As Ruby says "LET THE GAMES BEGIN!"

This card will be entered into challenges at:
It is challenge #4--Dazzle Us
and
#15 challenge was for red with bling

Be sure to check out our challenge at http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.com/

Card # 3

Two-Man Bobsled--what an exciting Olympic event!  For this card, Stella and Gus are Olympic participants. (Must be the senior Olympics!)   I used the image Gus and Stella--Marriage Secret, DP from my stash, Papertrey cardstock and polka dot paper, nestabilities for the mats, SU ribbon, and computer-generated sentiments.  As you can see, Stella is alone in the bobsled--screaming Where's Gus?!!!!!

This card also will be entered into the challenge # 45 at:
That calls for a red, white, and blue card that is not patriotic.

Card # 2

This second card is one of my favorites!  I love the Olympic memories it bring back.  What American can forget Al Michaels screaming "He Scores!" as the US won gold in ice hockey at Lake Placid!!!!!  I became an ice hockey fan that day, and even went on to get to see some of the US team in person at Disney World.  Great sports moments for me.  This card shows a great moment for Gus also!  He is shown standing by Stella's bed--boasting "He Scores!"  Maybe not an Olympic great--but a memorable moment for Gus and Stella!  This card uses all Papertrey products, except for the flower embellishments. The image is from the Bugaboo line Gus and Stella--Marriage Secret.   Enjoy (I'm sure Gus and Stella did!LOL!

Challenges for You! Challenges for Me!

Now for my cards!  Card # 1 uses the image Stella Love--Wake up Call.  I used copics to color, Papertrey cardstock, and designer paper from my stash.  I cut out stars with my cricut, punched a computer-generated sentiment , added star eyelets,
and put crystal effects on Stella's glasses and alalrm clock.  As the card says:  "Let the Games Begin!"

Friday Freebie Day!

The second card I made today uses the other Friday Freebie. It is called Rainy Day Bear--and I love it!  I used DP paper from my stash,, Papertrey cardstock, a prima flower with a brad in the center, and Papertrey ribbon.  I colored this image with copics and added crystal effects to the umbrella, boots, puddle, and rain drops.  Isn't this image cute?!  I love these colors; it matches my blog!

This card will be entered in the following challenge:
This challenge was for something cute!

Friday Freebie Day!

Yeah for free stamps!  As you probably know, every Friday, Jodie at http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ gives at least one free digital stamp.  Today is your lucky day as she is giving two!  I made something out of both images for you.  First is an image called "Tooth Fairy".  I made a tooth holder which is a small round favor box from Michaels.  I bought a box of these several years ago, and luckily still have one left.  It was decorated with SU polka ribbon, some lace, a circle nestability, and the image colored with copics.  Some stickles was added to the tooth fairy's wings.  The matching card used Papertrey DP and cardstock.  I computer-generated a sentiment that says "Congratulations on your loss!", and added the matching lace and SU ribbon.  I also added a white crocheted flower and a pink bling gem.  Thought this turned out to be a cute little project for a young girl.

This card will be entered into the following challenges:

Oldy but Goody Day

I have said numerous times that I am sick of snow!  Liz did have school today, but we have an early forecast of more snow on Sunday/Monday.  We currently have had about 12" in the past 4 days.  The reason that I tell you that--is that I love to think about Spring.  Therefore, I made an Easter card for today!  Isn't that a pleasant thought--pastel colors, Easter egg hunts outside with no snow, short sleeve clothes, flowers blooming!  I love these thoughts!  My card certainly got me in the mood.  I used an image from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ called Block Critters--Bunny.  He was perfect for an Easter card!  I used Papertrey cardstock, designer paper from my stash, and Papertrey buttons.  He was colored with copics (pastel--springy colors), and I used an Amuse Easter Greetings stamp on the front.  So nice to have Spring thoughts today!

Challenge # 4

For my last challenge card, I used an image from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ called Valentine basket--kitty!  This image is very special to me.  It reminds me so much of our dear little kiity, Leon, who died this past summer at age 20!  As you can tell, he was a spoiled, little Siamese cat.  He, too, loved to curl up in baskets.  The polka dot paper is from Papertrey, as it is cardstock and ribbon.  The striped paper was from my stash.  The image was colored with copics, and the sentiment was from stamping bella.  It's called a Valentine image, but it certainly does not have to be a Valentine card!

This card will be entered into the following challenges:
The challenge was to use spots and stripes on the card.
The challenge was # 45.  You were to have an animal on your card.

Challenge # 3

Another Stella card!  This card used http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ image called Stella:  Aged to Perfection.  I used two kinds of compatible DP from my stash, Papertrey cardstock, colored her with copics, added Papertrey ribbon, and a crocheted flower with a white rhinestone.  I just felt that this image needed to be on a tall card.  I love the way she turned out!

This card will be entered into the challenge at:
It was a sketch challenge.

Challenge Card # 2

I love this image!  It is from www.Bugaboostamps.com/.  It is called Stella Discount.  I made a 5" square card , and used DP from my stash.  Cardstock was Papertrey, image was colored with copics, and three rhinestones were added.

This card will be entered into the challenge at:
This was challenge # 22 and it was a sketch challenge.

Challenge # 1

Wednesday seems to be the day that I usually work on challenges--and today (even more so since I am snowbound in the house!!), I worked on challenges.  The first card that I want to share with you was made for the challenge at http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/ that Papertrey Ink is sponsoring.  As I have said before, I love their cardstock, and ribbon, and buttons!  This time, however, I did not use any Papertrey products.  I wanted to use this image from www.bugaboostamps.com/ called" Mupsidedown".  Check out the site; Jodie is offering a discount for Valentine's Day running from Feb. 8-15.  Good deal!  Can't give you information on anything I used.  It was all just in my stash!  Here's my card:

This card will be entered into the challene at http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/ sponsored by Papertrey Ink.
This was a sketch challenge called CPS 153, Part 3.

Sock Monkey

Remember when Jodie released the sock monkey line at http://www.bugaboostamps.com/, and I told you that our 17 year old was making a sock monkey.  I promised to show it when it was finished.  When I went to CHA, I found a sock monkey video and kit from http://www.whencreativityknocks.com/. I brought it home for Liz as a "treat".  She was thrilled!  She has plans to make several of these as presents for friends. (I should add also that we do not have a sewing machine, so  Liz did all of the sewing by hand.)   First off was this one--a birthday present for a friend whose birthday is on Valentine's Day.  After Liz made the monkey, we designed the card to look like the "real" sock monkey.  The card used the Bugaboo digital stamp "Sock Monkey Hug Heart".  Everything was like usual--papertrey products and colored with copics.  Here it is.  It was mailed off last evening.  Hope her friend thinks it is as cute as we do!

Tuesday New Release

Tuesdays at http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ are new release day--and Jodie has not let us down again.  She release a new line called Fanny, and there is one for each month!  Like to make calendars?  If so, these will be perfect!!!!!  The image that I used was Fanny for the month of March.  She is all decked out in her St. Patrick's attire and is ready for a good time.  I colored this image with copics, added shamrock rhinestone embellishments, used Papertrey cardstock, DP from my stash, and surrounded the image with lace.  The inside is stamped with a $1 stamp from Michael's.  Hope you like her!

The inside looks like this:

Papertrey Challenge--Day 8

I have been following Papertrey's Third Anniversary celebration.  I love their products.  You'll notice that I most always use PTI cardstock, ribbon, and buttons.  Their colors are yummy!  Today they had a challenge for a "paint" by number sketch.  Based on the first letter of your sign on name, you were given a color pallette to use.  Mine was to use kraft, smokey shadow, scarlet jewel, sweet blush, and vintage cream.  We were also given a sketch to use.  I followed the sketch, except that I rotated the ribbon or paper strip on the front.  I could not get it to work using a horizontal line.  All products that I used were by Papertrey Ink.  Here is my card.

I was amazed by how pretty this color combination turned out.  Why don't you go to http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/
and check out her blog?  She has some excellent contests!

Last Challenge Card of the Day!

One more Gus card (I'm really trying to build up my masculine cards).  For this card, I used a sketch--and found that I really liked the layout!  The paper is from my stash, Cardstock is Papertrey, used a Nesties square, and added red rhinestones on the side strip and on the tires.  Gus' glasses again have crystal effects on them.  Image (from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ called Gus--new truck.  Another card that I think is great for men!

This card is being entered in these challenges:
Challenge was to use Sketch # 40
Challenge # 98 was to use spots and dots on your card.
