Bugaboo New Release
Oh wait till you see what Jodie has created for us today! Go to http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ and check out this new line of ghost images--just in time to start working on Halloween cards:) For my card, I used Papertrey cardstock, scraps of a Halloween pack I bought last year, colored my image with copics, added a little orange stickles, cut out the image and matted it on a circle nestability, and added a glittery pumpkin. Simple card--easy peasy--but still cute!

For my card, I used Papertrey cardstock, a scrap of notebook paper and school themed DP I found, a SU punch, Papertrey's It's Official stamp set plus the library card die. I found some ruler ribbon that I thought looked great with the card. I stamped some stars and put stickles on them, added a ticket with a paperclip, and thought my card turned out pretty well! ABAC--Bugaboo
During her senior year in high school, when Liz was attempting to choose what college she wanted to go to, she made a college visit to the University of Kentucky. She toured the campus, talked with an advisor in the Department of Agriculture, and then spent the night with a friend. At midnight, they went to a hockey game. Liz decided then and there (at her first ever hockey game) that she was a big fan! When Jodie (http://www.bugaboostamps.com/) came out with this sports nut line, I knew I had to make something for Liz. I used a mixed nut can, and covered it with some sports DP. I added a ribbon from Papertrey. I printed out the hockey nut image, colored it with copics, punched it out with a nestability round die, paper pieced the nut shell and ran that through my cuddlebug swiss dot folder. I added the hockey nut sentiment and added a piece of red rhinestone bling to it. I also sponged with chalk inks around the image. This is an altered snack can that I will give to her the next time we see her (1st football game on September 11). I think she will love this!

I used a Bugaboo Brats image, SEI Happy Day Confetti Paper, Papertrey cardstock, ruffled ibbon that I bought at the winter CHA, oval nestabilities, and colored my image with copics. I added two small pearls to her jacket. This little girl is all ready for school! (Speaking of little girls--we got to see Liz this past weekend. The University of Kentucky had an induction ceremony for Freshmen, and parents were invited. We also got to see her play for the first time with the marching band! So far, she loves it!!!!!)
This card will be entered into a challenge at:

Friday Freebie
Oh what a cute line Jodie has for you today! Her new line is called Hoppy Occasions. I used this cute little birthday frog which I colored with copics, mounted on circle Nesties, used SEI Happy Day paper, Patertrey cardstock and ribbon, and embellishments from Taylored Expressions. The paper has lots of glitter, so I decided to add some more to the balloon, the froggy's eyes, and her lips. Love this glitz and glitter! Love these colors!
This card will be entered into challenges at:
Challenge is glitter and glitz.
Challenge is sparkle and shine.
Jodie always has images up by 2:00 pm EST. If you go before then and they are not there, go back later! In the meantime, you can check out what the rest of the DT did. Their links are on the right hand side of my blog. You won't be disappointed!!! I can't wait to shop for more of these images.
Sew Many Challenges!
Another challenge day at http://www.sewmanychallenges.com/. Be sure to head over there and find out all of the details. This is a fun challenge to create a Christmas-themed project. I did a card! You can go over to http://www.sewmanycards.com/ and search for an image to use. I chose PJ in Snow Globe. I used a scrap of DP that I found, Papertrey cardstock and ribbon, some fringed trim, circle and inverted circle Nesties, a snowflake die cut with a couple of pieces of red bling added, colored my image with copics, and put crystal effects on the snow globe to make it look like glass! I've got a start on my Christmas cards now! That's a good feeling. Why don't you get a start also?

Oldie But Goodie Day!
Since it is Thursday, we at Bugaboo (http://www.bugaboostamps.com/) get the opportunity to showcase an older image. I chose one of my favorite lines--the Bugaboo Brats. This one is called Skye. For my card, I used some scraps of Valentine's paper from last year, my Nesties ovals, PTI cardstock, Say It with Pearls, and colored my image with copics. I added a little stickles to parts of the tricycle and her shoes. Just seems like yesterday that our little redhead was riding around on her tricycle. Now she called and asked grandpa to bring her bike to her at UK. We are going down this weekend for an "induction ceremony" where all new students will be sworn into the UK family. I'm not complaining--as it seems like it has been forever since we saw her! Here's my card:
These colors look a little off in the evening light. The cardstock and papers are really pink!
This card will be entered into a challenge at:
The challenge is to use pink, black, and white. I swear I really did!

New Release Day at Bugaboo Stamps
Well, I am officially an "empty nester" again. We took Liz to college yesterday. She is all settled in her dorm room, and now has almost completed one full day of marching band practice! All went well--grandma and grandpa survived the move!
Jodie (at http://www.bugaboostamps.com/) has a wonderful new line of images called Summer Dog. I love this little guy! For my card, I used Papertrey cardstock, Bo Bunny Peacock Lane Stripe designer paper, Papertrey ribbon, and turquoise twine that I found in my stash. I used circle nesties, colored my image with copics, and added a piece of turquoise bling to his hat. I can't wait to see the rest of the line, since this one sure is cute!

Freebie Friday!
What a cute free image for today at http://www.bugaboostamps.com/. Jodie calls this one Sunbonnet Bride, but I think you could use it for a First Communion card. I used Papertrey cardstock, May Arts ribbon, pearls and a flower that I edged with chalk ink. I paper pieced her dress, bonnet, and veil with my swiss dots embossing folder, and also edged this image with chalk ink to give it an older look. DP is unknown (of course!) I added stickles to her flowers, bonnet, and lace on her skirt.
Jodie always has images up by 2:00 pm EST. If you go before then, and they are not there, just go back. It will be worth it!

Sew Many Challenges!
We're back in business with Sew Many Challenges. Be sure to go over to the challenge blog at http://sewmanychallenges.com/ and check out the details for this challenge and find out more about Tiffany! You are to make a card with stitching (it can be real or faux!). This challenge is sponsored by Tiffany Doodles--and you can win 5 stamps of your choice! Be sure to check out her images, as I am sure you will love them too!
I had to use stitched ribbon for mine, as Liz was using my Janome mini sewing machine to make a purse out of out blue jeans. It turned out so cute! She has her grandma's love for crafts:) For my card, I used Papertrey cardstock,a SMC image from the Olliver line, a scrap of DP that I got from Taylored Expressions, unknown stitched ribbon, buttons from Papertrey that I added rhinestones to for eyes, and a Papertrey sentiment. I love how this card turned out! It will be a cute Happy Birthday card for someone!

Oldie But Goodie Day!
I love Thursdays! For me, it is fun going back through images from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ to try and figure out which image I want to use. For today, I chose Skelekinz--I Miss You. I can't say too much about this card because Liz leaves for college on Sunday:( Empty nest syndrome strikes here again!!!!! For this card, I used Papertrey cardstock (colors look a little bit off--I used purple and pink!), SU DP and punches, May Arts ribbon, and added a piece of bling to her hair. I colored this image with copics. I'll probably mail this card next week!

Crafty Hos Challenge
I should be returning from my vacation today--hopefully rested up and ready to get this kid packed and off to college! This is a new experience for me, as I attended college near my home--beginning at age 35. I have no idea what all she should take! Never fear though, I still have a post for you today! The challenge, which can be found at http://www.craftyhoschallenge.blogspot.com is to create a card using primary colors. For my card I used SU cardstock, scraps of unknown designer paper (why don't I ever know the name of my papers?), circle nestabilities, an image from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ called Summer Peekers Swimming Pool. I colored my image with copics, added Papertrey ribbon and small scalloped die border, and glued on green and blue bling.
Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has created--and then play along with us!

Oldie But Goodie Day!
Another Oldie but Goodie Day at http://www.bugaboostamps.com/. Since Jim, Liz, and I are currently enjoying a week in Colorado at a Dude Ranch, I decided this was a fitting image to choose for today. I'm using an image today called WOC Giddyup! For my card, I used Papertrey cardstock, unknown designer paper, some star embellishment, and colored my image with copics.
Isn't he cute?!

Crafty Hos Challenge
The Crafty Hos have a new challenge for you today. It is "Back to School". That's getting a little scary for me! I'm a retired teacher, so I don't have to go back--but on August 15, we send our Liz off to college. She will be beginning her first year at the University of Kentucky. Very exciting for her (but very scary for grandma and grandpa!) She has kept us so busy these past years; will we be able to find something to do on our own? Bear with me these next couple of weeks--but I know we will survive!
The challenge, as I said before I started rambling, is Back to School. Be sure to go to http://www.craftyhoschallenge.blogspot.com/ to see what the others have created, check out all of the details--and then play along with us! If you have any anxiety issues with someone going back to school or even just starting school, it will help you get it off of your mind! For my card, I used scraps of paper from my bin, so I can't tell you the names. However, I love this ruler paper. It was various colors of rulers--cute to use on school cards. I used Papertrey cardstock, colored my Bugaboo image with copics, and mounted it on a circle nestability. Stickles was added to the crayon (although it doesn't show in the picture!) The school embellishment was one left over from a multi-pack, so again I don't know the manufacturer.
