Going Green Blog Hop

If you happened by my blog accidentally, STOP!  Go back to our challenge blog, and start at the beginning! The link to that blog is http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.com/.   We are in the middle of a fantastic Going Green BLOG HOP!!!!!  What does that mean? You can play along with us, stop at our blogs and comment, and make a challenge card.  You have until next Saturday, March 6, at 7:00 a.m.  Three overall prizes will be given, and one lucky person will win a free Bugaboo image just by commenting on my blog!  You can't beat this!  Your challenge card can be St. Patrick's Day themed, just green in color, or it can even showcase something you normally would have thrown away. Don't throw it away--use it on your card! Just be sure to comment on every card!  I have three cards that I am going to share with you. All three of mine use the St. Patrick's Day theme (Liz gives out about 15 cards on every holiday, so I may as well get a good start!)
My first card uses an image called Valentine Critters--Frog.  I turned the heart in his hand into a shamrock, used both sides of some St. Patrick's Day DP, used cardstock from Papertrey, cut out mats with scalloped scissors, added a sentiment from Papertrey, glittered it up with stickles, and added green rhinestones.  I think he's cute!

My next card uses the image called Gus--Marriages.  I again used both sides of designer paper, cut out mats with nestabilities, colored with copics, added green and red rhinestones, and computer generated a sentiment saying "I love green beer".  I think Gus looks Irish, sitting there enjoying his green beer, don't you?

My last card is my favorite!  It is from the Skelekinz line, called I Miss You.  Our Liz is a redhead--and looks like the poster child for Ireland.  No one would mistake her for any ethnicity other than Irish.  This card reminds me of her!  I used Papertrey cardstock, some green glitter paper plus green polka dot glitter paper.  The image was colored with copics (I even followed Gabby's tutorial on coloring hair--and I am pleased with the way it turned out).  There are two rhinestone shamrocks in the corners of the image.  The inside of the card (why do I always forgot to take pictures of those?) says--"I wish I were Irish!"

Be sure to play along with us.  We want you to share in the fun.  When you are finished here, be sure to move on to Melissa's blog at http://ihaveprettierstuff.blogspot.com/.  (She does, too!  Her blog is wonderful!)  Keep moving through the design team, and be sure to leave a comment at your final stop on the second post.  Be sure to comment on my post (today--and always--and everyone else's too!).  Someone will win a free digital image.

  16. Hi, all the cards I've been seeing are just gorgeous and now I really don't know which are my favourite ones, all the stamps are so fab... I'm doing the hopping thing and just came from Yvonne's but couldn't leave her a message about her 'Wanna See My Leprehan' card as her comment form is not set to a pop up window, and can only comments under anonymous when they are set like this, I don't know why this happens, Please don't leave me out of the hop... I'm really hopping and seeing all your lovely creations ... And yes.. I'm Dora www.myfirstblog-dora.blogspot.com

  34. Sandye,
All three of your cards are fantastic. The frog is adorable and Gus does look Irish to me too, but I must admit that the Skelekinz is my favorite. The sad look on her face along with the clever "I wish I were Irish" really makes the card perfect for St. Patrick's Day!
