AIFactory Challenge

Remember that green giraffe card I posted a couple of weeks ago?  It won the AIFactory Challenge!  Because of that, I was asked to be a guest designer for this week's challenge.  Be sure that you head over to and check out all of the details.  Then, play along!  I can vouch for the fact that it is fun:)  This week's challenge ( # 40) is to use distressing on your project.  It is NOT a requirement to use AIFactory images, but if you wish to, go to the freebie section at and pick up some freebies!  The deadline for entry is 10:30 p.m. EST next Wednesday.  If you upload your creation to an online gallery, please use AIF040 as the keyword.  Now--for my card:

I used one of the new Father's Day images, colored it with copics, paper pieced the ties with scraps of DP I had and used the houndstooth cuttlebug folder (found this for $2.00 at Big Lots!).  I distressed the embossed folder with sandpaper and rubbed SU Bashful Blue ink on it.  I used Papertrey cardstock and buttons, rectangle nestabilities, and added a Papertrey Round and Round sentiment to one of the ties.  I also sanded around the scalloped image and added Bashful Blue ink there also.  I like the way this turned out--it makes a great masculine card!

AIFactory--thanks for giving me this opportunity to be a guest designer.
