Anything But a Card

I'm the chosen Bugaboo DT member who gets to create "Anything But a Card"--and I chose to create a calendar/reminder book. These are wonderful to use for birthday/anniversary reminders, but I use mine as a blog post reminder. It keeps me "on my toes" with my Bugaboo posts! The images I used are from the Margaret--Calendar line, and the one I created the link for is January. I have just shown you the first page, but there (of course) is a page for each month with a corresponding Margaret image. This book makes a lovely gift for someone along with a pack of birthday cards!

Liz gives lots of my cards as Christmas presents--and I found this was a lovely way to package them. Throughout the year when I purchase stamp sets, I save the plastic boxes they come in. This is one I decorated. I used the image called Polar Bear. Filled with an assortment of cards and envelopes, this makes a lovely gift!

Great new release from Bugaboo today. For my card I used Papertrey cardstocks, Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg DP, SU oval punches, some ribbon, and a little bling. I colored the image with copics and added a little sparkle to the pears with a Sakhura glitter pen. I created the sentiment on the computer. Although this new set is called the 12 Days of Christmas, I wanted to show you that many of the images did not have to be used for Christmas cards.

The challenge for today is to create a humorous card. Of course, I had to use Gus! In addition I used Papertrey and Bazzill cardstocks, scraps of the Christmas paper that I had used multiple times, an SU circle punch, and colored my image with copics. I added a little bling!

Day 5, 12 Days of Christmas challenge is to use gold in your project. For my card I made a square card with Papertrey cardstock, some scraps of DP that I bought from my LSS (no name on it!), an image that was merged from three Bugaboo images called Christmas Brat Girl--Presents, Christmas Brat Boy--Ornament, and Steps--Christmas. I copics the image with copics, added some bling and some liquid aplique, tie it up with organdy ribbon, and added a sentiment.

Day 4--12 Days of Christmas. Bugaboo challenge is to use a bird in your card/project. For my card, I used Papertrey cardstocks, some penguin DP, a SU corner punch, and colored the Poppi Christmas Present unage with copics. I added a little bling and some liquid applique.

Day 3--12 Days of Christmas. According to the Bugaboo challenge post, you are to create a card/project with an animal in it. For my card, I used Bazzill cardstocks, some DPs, two Christmas stickers, and an image called Candy Cane Critters--Cow which I colored with copics.

Day 2--12 Days of Christmas, and the challenge is to create a card/project with the theme of "love". For my card, I used Papertrey cardstocks, scraps of DP I found, a Bugaboo image called Scarlette Mistletoe which I colored with copics, added a little bling and some liquid applique.

Today is Day 1 of the 12 Days of Christmas Challenges here at Bugaboo. Today's challenge is to use a tree on your card/project--this can be in the your paper, your image, your embellishments, etc! Easy, huh? For my card, I used Papertrey cardstocks, grosgrain ribbon, an image called Christmas Gingers--Tree which was colored with copics, Creative Imaginations DP, and a little bling.

I used an image called Skelekinz Boy--You Rock My World (I LOVE this image!), along with SU cardstocks, We R Memory Keepers Teen Angst DP, a SU scalloped punch, some bling, and colored my image with copics.

On the Critter Challenge Blog today, you will find that the challenge is to use an image by Digital Delights. This was an easy chalenge, as they have some adorable images! I created a card with Papertrey cardstock and polka dot paper, some snowflake DP, ribbon, a Martha Stewart snowflake punch with a little bling, and colored my image with copics. Love this little skier!

Today is Oldie but Goodie Day at Bugaboo. I used an image called Wee One Boy Angel--Pray which I colored with copics. I used a scrap of star DP, Papertrey cardstocks, grosgrain ribbon, and added some star bling. I created a "Praying for You" sentiment on the computer and punched it out with a SU punch.

Bugaboo's new release today is a lovely "mother" angel. Beautiful image! For my card, I used Papertrey cardstock, Georgia Pacific cardstock, gold metallic cardstock, swiss dots embossing folder, pearl swirls, some gold lace braid, and colored the image with copics. I went with a monochromatic color scheme, and was quite pleased with how this card turned out.

Today some of the bugaboo DT are playing along in a Paper Pretties challenge. Be sure to go to the challenge blog and read all about it. The challenge is to use black, gold, and white. For my card I used Bazill cardstock, gold blingy cardstock, newstabilities, unknown DP, glittery letters that spell out "read" which ties in with the MFT image I used. I colored this image with chalks, and included him on a bookmark card I made. I followed the tutorial created by Cely, one of the Bugaboo DT members! Thanks Cely--excellent job! I like this card because the bookmark can be torn off and used! I added some bling to it, lots of ribbon, the same DP, some stickers, and a Papertrey paperclip stamp. This will go to my niece, along with a book for Christmas:)

Occasionally I make a card that I absolutely LOVE. Today is one of those days! I needed a baby card recently--and immediately thought of this Bentley--on the Inside image. I love the sentiment, which says "I spent 9 months on the inside!" For my card, I used papertrey cardstocks, Papertrey and unknown DPs, a SU punch, copics, a little bling, and computer generated a sentiment for the inside! Be sure to check it out.

The outside of my card today looks fairly plain, but wait till you see the inside! For my Oldie But Goodie card today, I used SU cardstock, scraps of DP from a Safari mat stack, a sentiment that says "Hang in There" mounted on a SU round scalloped punch, some complimentary ribbon--and then placed the Bobblehead Monkey inside, hanging off of a palm tree made from Honeycone paper. I freehanded this palm tree (so be nice!) and colored the image with copics. Love this honeycone paper!!!!!

Another release today from Bugaboo that I LOVE!!!!! I'm so anxious to see the entire set. For my card, I made it 5.5 by 5.5 sqaure using Papertrey cardstocks. I colored the image with copics, and added three different Papertrey dies. I love the way this turned out!

I chose to do a card with a girl all decked out to attend her homecoming dance (in the school colors of the school where Liz attended, and I taught). For my card I used Papertrey cardstocks, some sparkly silver cardstock by Reminisce called Disco Ball, homecoming DP called Scrappin' Sports and More, a little bling, sparkly blue ribbon, and colored the image with copics. I even colored the hair the same as Liz's!
