Another Oldie but Goodie Day at Bugaboo; another chance for me to work on my scrapbooking! This is another page from our oldest granddaughter's graduation trip. Since Liz lives with us, she got to go too! I used the image called Mini Set--Tall Jungle Blocks. I thought the giraffe worked well with this page from the San Diego Zoo.

Tutorial
I have a tutorial for you today--how to make your own colored twine. This can be made to match whatever copic colors you are using. Here are the instructions:
Supplies:
One ball of crochet thread. It comes in cream and white. (I used Aunt Lydia's Crochet Thread)
Copics to match your designer paper (I used three--one red, two green)
Pencil
Scotch Tape
Instructions:
Tape one end of crochet thread at top of pencil. Wrap it closely all around the pencil. Tape again at the bottom of the pencil.
Using a copic that coordinates with your designer paper, mark all the way down first side of the pencil. Turn pencil around a little and use another copic to mark all the way down that side of the pencil. Again turn pencil and using another copic, mark all the way down that side of the pencil. Adjust your turns depending on how many colors you use. So easy--and now you have twine to match your paper!
Here's my card:

Oldie but Goodie
I'm still trying to get caught up on scrapbooking! Today I created another scrapbook page, using a Bugaboo image called Critter Balloons--Dog. When each of our grandchildren graduate high school, we take them on a vacation. The oldest (Sarah) chose to go to San Diego. While there, we took a hot air balloon ride--scrapbooked here!

Riley Challenge
The Riley challenge for this time period is Back to School. As I've said before, this is my favorite time of the year. I'm a retired teacher, and although kids are going back to school, I'm not!!!!! I did love my teaching years, but I think I like my retired years even better:) My card uses Sophie Schoolgirl, and she's all ready with her ruler, crayons, and books.

Oldie but Goodie Day
At Bugaboo we always celebrate Oldie but Goodie Day on Thursdays! It's a fun time to go back through your images, and find a great one to use. We often vacation at a dude ranch near Estes Park, Colorado--Liz rides, Jim hikes, and I do nothing! I used the image AKV Summer Sports--Rock Climbing to showcase a great picture of Jim as he hiked around Meadow Mountain. He looks tired, doesn't he; those 8-10 mile hikes in the Rocky Mountain National Park are tiring!

ABAC
I have been chosen (on Bugaboo) to share anything but a card with you today. I decided to do a scrapbook page. In spring of 2011, Liz and I went to Universal Studios--Harry Potter World. It was great fun! Unfortunately (for now) I have misplaced my photos of our trip, but I created a page with tickets and postcards. The image is Har Repotter the Chosen One.
Stay tuned, as I will someday find those photos and create the page to go along with this!

New Challenge
Today's challenge at Bugaboo is a photo inspiration. Check it out at our challenge blog. I'm always inspired (or maybe a better word is pleased) by photos of school at this time of the year as I am a RETIRED school teacher! I love to think of school starting back--and me NOT! I used an image called AKV Kids--School.
My school starts back on Monday:)!!!!!
My school starts back on Monday:)!!!!!

Oldie but Goodie
It's Oldie but Goodie Day again at Bugaboo! I used an image called Girlz--Flowers which I colored with copics. I love going back through Jodie's images to find one to use!
Special Challenge
Today I'm working on a special challenge with Craft Challenges. It's an easy challenge--just add a charm! I used a Bugaboo image called Summertime Peekers--Watermelon. I used Papertrey cardstocks and designer papers, nestabilities dies, some ibbon, and a watermelon charm. I bought it on a recent trip to San Antonio, knowing that I would find just the perfect spot for it!

Critter Sketch Challenge
There's a new challenge at Critter Sketch--Round It Up! You are to show some circles on your creation. This challenge is sponsored by Digi Doodle, and you'll find some adorable images there. I used the dog holding an envelope marked "for you". To me, this seemed appropriate for a tag. I added the image to a nestabilities circle die, a doilie, and a crocheted flower. After I added ribbon and a little ling, I was quite pleased.
Be sure to check out what the other DT members did--and then play along with us!

New Challenge
Bugaboo has a new challenge today--and it's "anything goes". Can't get easier than that! I decided to do a scrapbook page, as I am very far behind! I had several recommendation letters that Liz had from the Ascent Arts program, and I decided those should be saved. I created this scrapbook page with a pocket so that the letters could be folded and kept there. The image is from the Card Kit--Grad Bear.
