Bugaboo has a new challenge today--to create a card/project for Summer or the 4th of July.  How easy is this?  I used an image called Guy--BBQ along with some red, white, and blue DP.  Iadded a sentiment from AMuse.

Riley Challenge

The new Riley Challenge requires you to "dress" your Riley or Sophie.  I can't draw--and I can't sew either, but I was able to make some new threads for Riley Moustache.  I drew a tie and pair of pants, and then since I wanted them in polka dots, I paper pieced them onto Riley.  According to DT member Joy, this is for your own interpretation--and I interpretted it this was!  I love the mix of these designer papers, and the bracket (which I think resembles another moustache). Boy--was this card hard to photograph.  I tried several times, and this was as good as it gets!  I'm loving these Riley Challenges!

New Release

Jodie (at Bugaboo) has a fabulous new release for you today.  I love this sewing bear.    For my card, I used button DP, a real button, twine, Papertrey cardstock, and copics.

This card will be entered into a challenge at:

Critter Sketch Challenge

For the Critter Sketch Challenge today, we have a photo inspiration.  Please go to the challenge blog and check out the photo.  You can also view it at http://design-seeds.com/index.php/home/entry/mental-vacation5.  I was inspired by the beach theme as well as the colors.  For my card, I used sandpaper for sand, and the Papertrey flip flop dies and stamps.  I LOVE this set--as I would love nothing more than to be able to live in flip flops year round!  Play along with us; this is a great photo inspiration.

Special Challenge

Today some of the Bugaboo DT members are participating in a challenge with Cupcake Inspirations.  Check it out, and see what inspires you.  I was inspired with a beach theme (of course, I LOVE summer--so it never takes much to make me think of a beach theme).  I used an image called Dottie Beach.  I like to use sandpaper to look like sand, and I punched out a sun and added a beach brad.  Sure makes me think of the beach!

this card will be entered into a challenge at:
The challenge is Summer Sun.

Riley Challenge (Move on Down for Two Bugaboo Posts)

I designed a card for the current Riley challenge--to create a card for the man in your life.  My husband and I have raised a granddaughter who is currently a student at the University of Kentucky.  As she is a member of their band (since she is a flute player, she must be the little duck at the very end), this Riley Marching Band image seemed perfect.  I tried and tried to think of an appropriate sentiment to use, and finally came up with this one:  Happy Father's Day to the leader of our band!  We're visiting her this Saturday, and he will receive the card (and presents) then!  Although it's hard to see, I used a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder as the background for this card.  It is sheet music. The notes are MFT dies.

Oldie but Goodie

Today is Oldie but Goodie at Bugaboo.  I made a card using an image called AKV Ninja 3.  I used a combination of black/white, and red papers, a Great Impressions sentiment, and my copics.

This card will be entered into a challenge at:
The challenge is Seeing Spots.

Special Challenge

Some of the DT members at Bugaboo are participating in a special challenge with Do You Stack Up? You were to create a card for a boy or a man.  I used a Bugaboo image called Kid Pocket Topper--Glassses Boy

Critter Sketch Challenge

We have a recipe challenge for you today on the Critter Sketch Challenge Blog--2 ribbons, 4 buttons, 6 brads.  Be sure to go there and check it out, along with our sponsor--Robyn's Fetish.  Play along and you could win 5 images!  You can see that I modified slightly, as I used twine instead of ribbons and pearls instead of brads.  This image is from Papertrey and it is called button bits.  So fun to add those buttons to the image!

Be sure to play along with us!
