Oldie but Goodie

The outside of my card today looks fairly plain, but wait till you see the inside!  For my Oldie But Goodie card today, I used SU cardstock, scraps of DP from a Safari mat stack, a sentiment that says "Hang in There" mounted on a SU round scalloped punch, some complimentary ribbon--and then placed the Bobblehead Monkey inside, hanging off of a palm tree made from Honeycone paper.  I freehanded this palm tree (so be nice!) and colored the image with copics.  Love this honeycone paper!!!!!

Cute, huh?

New Bugaboo Challenge

Head over to the Bugaboo Challenge blog and check out the new challenge.  It is called Homecoming Dance--School Colors, and there are several different variations you can use.  I chose to do a card with a girl all decked out to attend her homecoming dance (in the school colors of the school where Liz attended, and I taught).  For my card I used Papertrey cardstocks, some sparkly silver cardstock by Reminisce called Disco Ball, homecoming DP called Scrappin' Sports and More, a little bling, sparkly blue ribbon, and colored the image with copics.  I even colored the hair the same as Liz's!

This card will be entered into the following challenge:

Special Challenge

Today Bugaboo is playing along with a challenge at Sweet Stampin'.  Check it out here.  The theme of the challenge is Halloween.  For my card, I used Papertrey cardstocks, some Halloween paper from last year, cardstock that I covered with adhesive tape (to look like a mummy!), SU oval punches, a Papertrey sentiment, some ribbon, and colored my image with copics.  I sat this card next to an orange pail that I filled with candy "eyeballs" and an altered paperclip.  It makes a cute little set!

Liz's Creations!

If you all follow my blog, you may know that we have a granddaughter, Liz, who is a sophomore at the University of Kentucky.  She is a member of Tau Beta Sigma, an honorary band sorority.  Yesterday she acquired two little sisters, as she affectionately called her "twiddles".  She made each of them a gift (a candy jar) which was presented to them at the reveal.  She wanted me to share the pictures with you.

She is also working on a scrapbook, shown below.

Cute, huh?  I'm impressed--because she free-handed that zebra, and I can't even figure out how to rotate it!

Oldie but Goodie

We just returned from a long weekend in San Francisco followed by a 15-day Panama Canal cruise.  After a very pleasant trip, I'm now quite busy just trying to get caught up.  Oh the laundry!!!  For my Oldie but Goodie card today, I used a Bugaboo image called Love Bear 3, Bazizill, SU, and Papertrey cardstocks, some orange ribbon, and crayon DP.  I colored my image with copics.

This card will be entered into a challenge at:
The challenge is to use the color "orange".

Critter Sketch Challenge

For today's Critter Sketch Challenge, you are to create a card/project using just one image, four buttons, and the color purple.   Easy for me to do, as I love this Papertrey "It's a Jungle Out There" stamp set.  I was fortunate enough to find some animal print paper--which I think does great with this zebra!  I used Bazzill cardstock, SU oval punches, Papertrey buttons, and stamped this zebra twice--once with purple ink and once with black ink for the stripes.  No only cute--but easy peasy!

Color shows up a little pinkish--but it is truly purple!  Ink used was SU Lavender Lace.  Play along with us!

Oldie but Goodie

I LOVE the Oldie but Goodie card that I made today!  Two of the ladies that I taught with are still teaching--and getting more and more anxious to retire.  Sometime during every school year, I have to rub in my retirement to them!  I sent this card to both:)  I used Papertrey cardstock and designer papers, two different SU punches, a Bugaboo image called Stella Peeker--Retirement which I colored with copics.  Hope we're still friends!

Anything But a Card

I am the chosen person for Bugaboo to share an ABAC with you today.  I chose to show an altered box I made.  I bought this little box at Michaels (in their normally $1 but currently reduced bin!).  It had a cat pin in the cut out on the lid.  I removed the pin--and added an image of Bobblehead Halloween Witch which I colored with copics.  I added some orange ribbon and a bow plus some orange pearls.  Liz may receive this with a little gift inside!
