Crafty Hos Blog Hop

The Crafty Hos are going out with a bang!  Be sure to go over to the challenge blog and read all about it!  We are a group of stamping friends who started this challenge blog about a year ago.  Now we have all become so busy that it seems it has run its course.  Please help us celebrate the end of a great run by hopping along with us!  Hopefully you began at the challenge blog.  If not, go back and start.  If you are on course, you arrived here from Joy's blog.  I know that she created something fantastic for you--because she ALWAYS does!  For my card I used Papertrey cardstocks, a scrap of Graphics 45 Alice in Wonderland paper, Papertrey's Tea for Two stamp set and sentiment.  I punched out the sentiment with a SU oval punch, and added a little bling.  I twisted some ribbon to resemble tea coming out of the teapot.  My friend, Yoorah, gave me the inspiration for this card!

From here, you should hop on over to Jackie's blog.  She, too, should have something great to share with you.

To all of the Crafty Hos--I love each and every one of you, and hope we continue with the friendships that we have developed.  It's been a great, fun time!

Papertrey Blog Hop

I just had to enter Papertrey's Blog Hop today--so that I could use some of the new goodies that I won at the PTI Stamp-a-Faire on 7/23 in Cincinnati!  What a wonderful affair; it was the best stamping day that I have ever had in my life.  Five of my friends came from across the U.S. and stayed at my house.  We made matching tee-shirts using Papertrey flower dies, did a mini shoebox swap on Friday evening, and then spent all of Saturday with PTI.  We all loved it, as everything was first-rate, well-planned, and so much fun!

For my card today I used my new Sweet as Can Be stamp set, my new Ice Cream cone die, and a couple of the papers (for paper piecing the ice cream) that I won (plus two stamp sets and another die)!

Friday Freebie

Jodie (at Bugaboo) has a cute freebie for you today!  It's called Kitchen Chicken.  I'm making a cookbook for Liz, as she says she will be cooking some in her new apartment at college (not enough dorm space, so she is in an apartment).  She looks forward to food other than school food--and requested several of her favorite recipes.  The Kitchen Chicken was perfect for this!  I used Papertre4y cardstock, a piece of Christmas DP I had from last season, a plage and set of silverware embellishments, and colored my image with copics.  I think she'll enjoy this "dried beef chicken!"

This recipe card will be entered into a challenge at:
