The Crafty Hos

The Crafty Hos have a new challenge for you today--and it is a sketch challenge.  You may want to head over to the Challenge Blog and check it all out, but in case you don't, here is the sketch for you:

For my card, I used one of my favorite Bugaboo lines--Stella.  Stella is correct this time--we "old bunnies" do lose our hop!  This fantastic sentiment comes with the image.  Check it out!  I used SU cardstock, some leftover DP, added some sparkly bling, used my oval nestabilities, and colored my image with copics.  Makes a cute Easter card for some "old bunny".

This card will be entered into a challenge at:
The challenge was to use 3 or more of listed items:  I used only one DP, no flowers, added sparkle.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has created--and play along with us!

Bugaboo Challenge

For today, Bugaboo has a new challenge!  It's one of those "dual" challenges that I hate, because I always forget to do one part of it.  You are to follow the sketch AND use the color green.  Head over to http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.com/, look over the sketch, read all of the directions, check out the prizes, and look for inspiration from the rest of the DT.  For my card, I used Papertrey cardstock, Nestabilities dies, Papertrey ribbon and buttons, twine from the Twinery, colored my image with copics, and added some crystal effects to the image.  Not too hard!!!

This card will be entered into a challenge at:

Craft Hos Challenge

Although our weather here is lovely, the Crafty Hos has a cold weather challenge for you today--a photo inspiration.  The picture (you can view it at our challenge blog) is a picture of a young man snowboarding.  Because of that, I decided to use a Bugaboo snowboarding image.  I used SU cardstock, some unknown DP, snowflakes from Tuesday morning, ribbon from Papertrey, colored my image with copics, stitched around the image, and added a little bling.  I'd rather be thinking of spring--but this does make a cute winter card!

This card will be entered into challenges at:

Boy--Jodie (at Bugaboo) has had more than her share of computer problems!  If you follow along, you will know that last Friday's freebies were late, due to computer problems.  The new release (more Dotties and another new set--Skye's Darla images) from Tuesday have just come out.  Never fear, though, you can always go and look for some oldies, but goodies!  I used an older Dottie birthday image, some paper from a Taylored Expressions monthly kit, Papaertrey cardstock, colored my image with copics, tied on some linen ribbon from Michele's Etsy shop, and added some bling pearls.  Makes a cute birthday card, huh?

Challenge for Bugaboo!

Today's challenge at Bugaboo is to create a card with a different fold.  I often get stuck in the same routine, and find myself always making single fold cards.  This was a fun challenge for me--to try a different fold.  The usual prizes will be given--7 (Bugaboo image required for first place), yada, yada, yada.  Check out the challenge blog to be sure you get all of the directions, plus sneak peeks at the work done by the DT.  For my card, I used a Joy fold (directions on Splitcoast), Papertrey cardstock, Reminisce Crazy in Love DP, image colored with copics, added a blingy glittery heart, plus a piece of red bling.

Bugaboo Challenge

Another challenge from Bugaboo--this time a really easy one--Anything Goes!  I think these are my favorite.  When we have a sketch challenge plus something else, I almost always forget to do something.  This way, I can't go wrong!  Be sure to go over to the challenge blog and check it all out.  You don't have to look at the rules, but be sure to check out the prizes!  I've mentioned before that I am in a monthly swap on SCS; this is a card that I created for one of the months.  For my card, I used cardstock from Taylored Expressions monthly kit, DP that the hostess sent to me (along with the beads that are on the banner), nestability die, Martha Stewart ribbon, and MFT banner die, along with letters from another Taylored Expressions kit.  I love this now Eggbert image from Bugaboo--but as I have said before--I HATE snow!  These beads were a real challenge for me, but I like how they look betweent the banners.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the Design Team has created.

This card will be entered into challenges at:
The challenge is "N is for Nestie".
The challenge is Spring or Snow.  I WANT Spring--but my card is for Snow.

Freebie Friday!

One day I said to Jodie (at Bugaboo) that I would love to have some Wizard of oz images.  Low and behold--she's releasing a set today!  Liz loves for me to make her a set of these cards; she ties them together and gives to friends for their birthday.  College kids don't have much money, and yet it is still a nice present.  For my card today, I used the lion.  My card base is SU cardstock, DP from a DCWV designer paper, Papertrey polka dot paper that I used to paper piece parts of the lion, some beautiful green ribbon (maker unknown), a sentiment that I computer generated, and Papertrey buttons.  I can't wait to get the rest of this set!!!
