Oldie but Goodie Day at Bugaboo!

For today's Oldie but Goodie at Bugaboo, I chose one of the Dottie images.  I used SU cardstock, October Afternoon and Papertrey Ink designer papers, a sentiment from Kraftin' Kimmies, colored the image with copics, and added a little yellow bling!  I love this sentiment with the Cinderella image.

This card will be entered into a challenge at:
This is an inspiration challenge--and I chose to use the color yellow as my inspiration.

New Release Day at Bugaboo Stamps

Yay for new Bugaboo releases--and especially for ones like today!!!!!  I love the Bugaboo Brats images, and now we are going to have more:)  Jodie is releasing some more brats, plus some images to sit them on.  I used the stack of books, with the little girl sitting on top.  I read a lot, and always keep a notebook to record book suggestions in.  (If you have any good ones, be sure to leave them for me!  I like just about anything).  I used the download from Nichole Heady for the mini notepad--really easy to just run your cardstock through, trim, and then decorate!  I used some scraps of paper that I had, plus some inexpensive cardstock from Michaels (I usually use Papertrey, but it will not run through my printer).  I used Papertrey and SU cardstock for everything but the base, colored my image with copics, used a Papertrey die for the sentiment, an SU corner punch, added some bling, a paper clip, and some ribbon I bought from a ribbon outlet almost two years ago!  I purchase the  notebooks for inside from Staples (mini legal notepads cut in half).  I have already started writing suggestions to read.  Don't forget to leave some for me!

This notebook will be entered into a challenge at:
The challenge is The Book Club.  You are to create a card/project that has something to do with a book!

Jodie makes every effort to have images in the shop by noon EST.  Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has created.

Crafty Hos Chalenge

Check out the inspiration photo for our challenge today at the challenge blog.  When I look at that picture of the lion and the lamb, I immediately think of the Twilight series.  Since we are raising a granddaughter, I have seen them all!  The quote "and the lion fell in love with the lamb" was the first bit of inspiration that I got from the picture; therefore my card uses a Kraftin' Kimmie Halloween stamp--Love Bites.  It is a vampire dancing with his lady!  (Okay--all of you probably really think I'm strange now, but the photo is just supposed to give you inspiration!  For my card I used Papertrey cardstock, miscellaneous ribbon and Halloween paper that I had left over from last season.  I colored my image with copics, and computer generated the sentiment.  I can't wait to check out the rest of the creations from the design team to see if anyone else came up with anything like I did!

Be sure to play along with us!  I want to see what inspiration you got!!!

New Challenge at Bugaboo!

New challenge--and one of my favorites!  I'm learning to love these monochromatic challenges, especially when I use orange--my favorite color:)  My card is a 5 1/2" square card using one of the newer Dottie images.  I used some paper that I found at my LSS--polka dots and stripes.  I used a Papertrey cardstock, Papertrey scalloped die to form the border, added some Papertrey buttons and ribbon, did a zig-zag stitch around the image, and colored it with copics.

This card will be entered into the following challenges:
Monochromatic

Friday Freebie Day at Bugaboo

Jodie's free image today (from Bugaboo) is a new line called "A Kid's View of God".  Very timely, as I think some of these images will be great for Easter cards, as well as First Communion cards.  For my card, I used Papertrey cardstocks, Papertrey designer paper, ribbon, and buttons.  I colored my image with copics, and added some Liquid Applique to the lamb.  I used a corner rounder on all of the corners.  My card is a variation of a joy-fold card which I thought was perfect for this image!  I used a Martha Stewart punch  on the bottom edge.

This card will be entered into the following images:
Use Die Cuts and/or Punches
Anything but Square

Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has created.  It's easy for you to do, as there as links on the right-hand side of my blog.  Jodie makes every attempt to have images in the store by noon EST.  Be patient if they are not there.

Oldie but Goodie Day at Bugaboo!

Today I made a very springy, very sweet card.  I chose one of the Sunbonnet images from Bugaboo and used some fantastic KI Strawberry Fields designer paper.  So pretty with this image!  I used SU and Papertrey cardstocks, a ticket from Bizy Becs, some linen ribbon from Michele's shop (one of the Bugaboo DT members--see link to right), colored the image with copics, added a little glitter pen to the jam jar, and paper pieced the dress and bonnet.  Love how this card turned out!

This card will be entered into the following challenges:
The challenge is "Use a Digi"
The challenge is "Pink and Green"

Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has created.  There's still time to play in our current challenge--Baby/Child!  See the challenge blog for details.

Critter Challenge!

Check out the inspiration piece at the Critter Challenge blog.  It's a beautiful sailboat scene, and--as much as I want summer her, I decided to use the colors as my inspiration.  Papertrey's ocean tides cardstock reminds me so much of the caribbean water color.  For my card, I used that cardstock, Papertrey polka dot designer paper, some plaid designer paper I had, a Papertrey doily die cut out of cream cardstock, a Bugaboo image that I colored with copics, and a scrap of sparkly ribbon I found.

This card will be entered into a challenge at
The challenge is To "Die" For.

New Bugaboo Challenge!

Bugaboo has a new challenge--and it's a fun one!  Be sure to go to the challenge blog and check it out!   With all of the images that are available through Bugaboo, no one should have problems with this challenge.  You are to create a card/project for a baby or child.  I used the Bugaboo Brat sports images--and created a set of cards!  This is one of my favorite things to do with sets of images.  It makes a delightful little gift for someone.  So easy to use for children!  There is a soccer boy, a softball girl, a baseball boy (he is a skelekinz image--not a brat), a girl basketball player, a boy football player, a cheerleader, and a basketball boy.  I kept these cards clean and simple, since they were a set.  I think they are very timely also, since spring is almost here, and many sports and/or sports camps will be soon starting up!

All my cards were colored with copics, cardstock is either SU or Papertrey, many scraps of DP were used, along with miscellaneous embellishments.  Someone is going to be happy to get these!

This set of cards will be entered into two challenges:
The challenge is to Keep It Simple.
The challenge is "Spring Has Sprung"--and with it--sports!

Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has created--and play along!

I can't wait!  I can't wait!  I want to see more of these. Jodie (at Bugaboo) has a wonderful bear birthday scene for you as a freebie today!  I can't believe this is a freebie.  It is adorable!!!!!  I know I want to buy ALL of the rest of this group:)  For my card, I used  Stampin' Up cardstock, Papertrey cardstock, SEI designer papers, Papertrey card border die cut, nestabilities ovals, colored my image with copics, and added some bling. The card is a 4 1/4" square care--a nice size because it fits into a regular invitation sized image.  I trimmed it around the bottom border.  I LOVE this image!

This card will be entered into a challenge at:
The challenge is "Getting Punchy".

Jodie makes every effort to have images in the shop by noon EST.  If you go and they are not there, just go back.  Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has created with this adorable image!!!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

The day for the "wearing of the green".  I do come from Irish heritage--so I always wear a little green.  For my oldie but goodie card today, I did a little green also!  One of my favorite characters, Stella, says "I'm wearing this so you don't suffer the consequences of pinching me!"  Cute sentiment, huh?  For my card, I used Papertrey cardstock, Basic Gray designer papers, colored my image with copics, added a shamrock sticker plus a little green bling.

This card will be entered into challenges at:
The challenge is "a bit of the green".
The challenge is "all things green" or "Happy St. Patrick's Day".
The challenge is "show us your green".

Oh, how I love this new image from Bugaboo!  Jodie is releasing a new line today called Sassy Girls--and is this Sassy Girl in a swing ever sassy!  I can't wait to bet the rest of this line:)  For my card, I used Papertrey cardstock, a scrap of cloud paper I found, Papertrey ribbon, three different punches--leaves, sun, and grass, an AMuse sentiment that says "Have a Swinging Day", colored my image with copics, and added a little bling.  I love it!!!!

Jodie makes every effort to have images in the store by noon EST.  If you go and they are not there, please go back!  I'll be there, shopping because I can't wait to see the rest of these images!!!!!

Crafty Hos Challenge

Easy Crafty Hos challenge today--use green, gold, and white!  For my card, I used a stamp from Kraftin' Kimmies (one of my new favorite stamp companies!)  This image is called Lily Lemon.  I used SU cardstock, Jillibean Soup designer paper, yellow bling, and a crocheted flower.  My card is 5.5" by 5.5"--I find that since these images are larger, I usually have to use a larger card base.

Oldie but Goodie Day at Bugaboo!

For my oldie but goodie today, I made a project rather than a card!  I used a Bugaboo image from the Skelekinz line, Geoergia Pacific cardstock, Stampin' Up cardstocks, a scrap of designer paper, some ribbon, and a piece of black bling.  I colored my image with copics.  This is so easy to do using a 6" square envelope.  Fold it in half, cut two notches in the flap, seal the left side, punch holes and thread your ribbon through, and decorate the front.  Perfect size for a Hershey chocolate bar!

New Release Day at Bugaboo Stamps

Jodie--at Bugaboo is releasing the cutuest line today!  The little bunny on the polka dot egg is perfect for a clean and simple Easter card--and that's just what I created.  I used Stampin' Up cardstock, a corner rounder, a piece of notebook paper that I punched with a SU notebook punch, a scrap of designer paper I found, colored my image with copics and cut it out, and added some yellow and white twine and a Papertrey button.  Very cute--very easy!  This would be a great card to mass produce!

Friday Freebie

In the state of Kentucky--basketball is a BIG thing.  Most of us say that we bleed blue (meaning that we are University of Kentucky basketball fans!)  For my husband and I--this is true.  It is even more so now that Liz is a freshman there, and a member of pep band.  Jodie's new release, therefore, was perfect timing!  College basketball conference championships are starting this weekend.  "March Madness" is beginning!  For my card I used SU cardstock, a scrap of UK designer paper, some blue metallic paper I bought at Tuesday Mornings, Bugaboo's freebie image, a UK sticker I had, and colored my image with copics.  I computer generated the sentiment.

This card will be entered into a challenge at:
The challenge is Digi Monday/Anything Goes

Jodie makes every effort to have the images in the shop by noon EST.  If you go and they are not there, be sure to go back.  They will be worth it!  Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has created.

Oldie but Goodie Day at Bugaboo!

It's hard for me to make men's card--so I LOVE the Gus line at Bugaboo.  I used one of these images for my card today.  I was so pleased to find this paper and brad in my stash (Rae Anne--from the Bugaboo team) used similar paper and told me where to order it.  I've had it forever and just never used it.  I think "Old Guys Rule" paper is perfect for Gus!  I used Papertrey cardstock, nestabilities die chalked with black, stitched around the mat and the ribbon, and added a extra balloon (to cover up a boo-boo I made!).  I colored my image with copics and added some Crystal Effects to the balloons.

The brad doesn't show up well in the picture.  It too says "Old Guys Rule".  This card will be entered into challenges at:
The challenge was "Anything Goes" + plus an optional challenge to use something "old" or never used before. (paper + brad)
The challenge is Birthday.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has created.
