Another Day--Another New Release!

That's what Tuesday means--another new release by Jodie!  Today's release at Bugaboo is a new line about shoes!  I'm using the Christmas shoe--and I love this image!  For my card, I used some shoe paper that I had, Bazzill and Papertrey cardstock, some flowers from Tuesday Mornings, and I colored my image with copics.  I added a brad to the flowers and a little red bling to the shoes.

This card will be entered into a challenge at:
Challenge is Anything Goes

Craft Hos Challenge

Check it out at The Crafty Hos .  The challenge is to create a card using the inspiration photo.  My take was to create a snowman using the color red.  When I make snowman cards, I tend to make them in blues and purples.  I changed my color scheme to match the photo!  I decided to have the color combo be red/pink.   I used Papertrey cardstock, some unknown paper, a Marshmallow Snowman image from Bugaboo, Papertrey ribbon and snowflake dies, colored my image with copics, and added some bling to the snowflakes.  I kind of like snowmen cards in red!

This card will be entered into a challenge at http://abc-challenge.blogspot.com/.  The challenge is "Ice and Snow".

Saturday Challenge for Bugaboo

Our challenge today is to make a card/project that is mostly black with a shopping theme.  Appropriate, huh?  Black Friday is over!  Hope you survived.  We have been skiing for the past 15 Thanksgivings, and I have missed the day of Thanksgiving shopping--but not this year.  My card shows you what happened to me--and I loved it!  I must confess, however, that I did not shop wearing heels like that!  Be sure to go over to the Bugaboo Challenge Blog and check out all of the details.  Hope you get a chance to play along with us.  After all of that shopping, you need a little "crafting" time.

I used Papertrey cardstock, a Martha Stewart punch, unknown designer paper, two SU punches as well as my square nestability die, and colored my image with copics.  I added a little bling in addition to some pink ribbon,.  Love this card!

This card will be entered into a challenge at http://forfunchallenges.blogspot.com/.  The challenge is "Anything Goes".  Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has created!

Freebie Friday!

I'm going to give you a good shopping tip for today.  Go to Bugaboo and pick up the free snowman image that Jodie has created!  You won't get any better deal than that today, no matter how long or how hard you shop.  This image is a real cutie!  I made this card for a monthly swap that I am in.  One person (in this care, my friend Yoorah) sends out the designer paper and the embellishment (the large blue snowflake--I love it!) and each person gets to choose the image and layout to use, in addition to the cardstock to mount it on.  I chose Papertrey's new blue color and used my winter cuttlebug folder.  I colored the image with copics and added a little bling to the snowflakes.  The bling was from Taylored Expressions; I ordered the mini "jewels" as well as the embellie jelly.  How easy it was to use!  Much better than trying to pick up those little boogers by hand!

This card will be entered into challenges at:
The challenge is "X is for Christmas".
The challenge is "Let it Snow"

Jodie makes every effort to have the new images in the shop by 2:00 pm EST.  If you go and they are not yet there, just wait--and be sure to go back!  You'll love these snowmen!  Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has created.

Hope this is a wonderful, peaceful day for everyone--and that you are able to be surrounded by those you love!  For my "Oldie, but Goodie" card today, I chose to feature a Christmas card using on the JJ images from Bugaboo.  For my card, I used Papertrey cardstock, SU ribbon, a scalloped punch and a SU oval punch.  I colored my image with copics, added a couple pieces of bling, and accented with some Sakhura glitter pen.

This card will be entered into a challenge at:
The challenge was to use traditional Christmas colors.

Give Thanks!

In this, our season of giving thanks, I wanted to take time to do just that!  I am so thankful to be part of the Bugaboo design team.  I love the images; I love the design team members; I love the coordinators and the owner; and I love all of our followers who make this all possible.  Of all of the stamping I have done, Bugaboo images are BY FAR my favorite!  I am so thankful that I found them--and that they found me.  (I'm also thankful that Liz is finally home from college, safe and sound (asleep, of course) in her own bed.  This is her first visit home since she left mid-August!  She has so many plans of places she wants to go, people she wants to see, and sleep she wants to catch up on.  Hope she can fit it all in!)

I made a card for today.  I should have made another, as we are going to our oldest daughter's house tonight and my sister-in-law's house tomorrow.  I should have thank you cards for both.  I may have to spend just a little more time crafting:)  For my card, I used paper from my Taylored Expressions monthly kit, a Stella image from Bugaboo, an SU oval punch and word window punch, Papertrey cardstock, and colored my image with copics.  My sentiment is from one of Taylored Expressions newest stamp sets.  Nice thank you card for not having to cook Thanksgiving dinner!

This card will be entered into the following challenges:
Challenge is "Going with the Flow"
Challenge is "R" embellishments.  I used a red star rhinestone.

Tuesday = New Release Day at Bugaboo

What a day here for me!  My husband and I returned yesterday from a 7-day Southern Caribbean cruise--ooh-la-la!  It was wonderful!  Today we go to pick our granddaughter up for her first visit home since she left for college in August.  Busy time here, but I did manage to get a card done today.  Know why?  Because I woke up at 4:00 a.m.--and went directly to my stamping room:)

Jodie's release today is called Christmas Cupcakes!  Check them out at the Bugaboo site.  She makes every effort to have the images in the shop by 2:00 pm EST, but if they are not there, I guarantee you they will be!  For my card, I used Papertrey cardstock, oval nestabilities, Papertrey ribbon, red bling, and colored my image with copics.

Saturday Challenge for Bugaboo

It's time to start getting ready for Christmas!  The challenge at Bugaboo today is to create A Christmas Project--Anything but a Card!  Go to our challenge blog and check out all of the details--and then spend some time this week and play along!  For my project, I made a Tic Tac box.  I covered it with polka Christmas paper to coordinate with his scarf.  By the way, the image is part of the Marshmallow Snowman line.  I used a scrap of ribbon I found, colored my image with copics, cut out around the bottom piece of the snowman with an Exacto knife so that the tic tacs would show--and look like snowballs, and added a little liquid applique for a snowball.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has created.  You can follow the links on the right-hand side of my blog.

Blog Hop for the Inspired Crafters

Since I started blogging and being so actively involved with Bugaboo digital images, I have greatly reduced the number of swaps that I participate in at Splitcoast Stampers.  However, I always swap with my Papertrey friends.  Several of us have swapped together numerous times!  These ladies are great, and I am always so motivated by the inspiration they give me.  Today we decided to have a mini blog hop of our own.  To get all of the details and to see the complete order for "hopping", please head over to the Inspired Crafters blog.  Since things are quite busy and hectic around my house at this time, I'm not sure I will be able to list the complete order for you.  No problem, however, as I can tell you who is before me--and who is after me!  If you hopped to my blog from Kelli Jo's blog, you are following the correrct order!

For my card, I used Reminisce designer paper with the coordinating Gingerbread lane stickers, Papertrey cardstock andbuttons, Martha Stewart baker's twine, unknown ribbon, and Papertrey Holiday Button Bits stamp set.  Many thanks to Susan (craftycrunchymama) as she was my inspiration for this card.  I received a card from her in an earlier Papertrey swap that was similar to this.  Her card, however, was much more involved--and much prettier!  Mine is the Reader's Digest condensed time version!  This card was quick and easy because it involved no coloring!  The image was stamped in Versamark on white cardstock, and embossed with red sparkly embossing powder.

From here, you should head over to Amy's blog.  Have fun!

Crafty Hos Challenge

Another Sunday--another Crafty Hos challenge for you!  Today, you are to create a card/project using Fall colors.  I decided to make a Thanksgiving card.  I used Papertrey and Stampin' Up cardstocks, Webster's Pages design paper, an EK Success scalloped punch, green pearls, square nestabilities, and colored my image with copics.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has created.

Right before the release of the new Harry Potter movie, Jodie (at Bugaboo) has some new wizard images for you.  These are so cute!  I think they will make wonderful birthday cards--with the sentiment "have a magical day".  There are many other occasions you can use them, so they will be very versatile.

For my card, I used SU cardstocks (last year's in-colors), plus SU designer paper.  I used my deckle-edged nestabilities to mat the image, which was colored with copics and chalked around.  I added some Sakura pen to his glasses  and star.

Bugaboo Tutorial

Each Wednesday, a Bugaboo design team member presents a tutorial for you.  Today, I am the chosen one!  We are going to create a fantastic little notebook!

Step 1--Go to your local office supply store, and buy a pack of 5 x 7 mini legal pads.  Have them cut them in half down the middle vertically.  (I go to Staples to have mine done).  I think they come 12 to a pack, so this gives you enough to make 24 of these mini notebooks!  I don't worry about the ruled line down half of the notebooks; it doesn't seem to cause a problem at all!

Step 2--Cut cardstock 8" X 5 1/4".  This will be the cover for the notebook.

Step 3--Score cardstock at 2 1/2".  Turn it around, and score again at 2 1/2".  This gives you a spine of 1/4" for your notebook.

Step 4--If you wish, you can cut another piece of cardstock 2 1/2 x 2", and place strong adhesive only around the sides and the bottom.  Glue this to the inside bottom left-hand side of the notebook cover.  You can use this section to hold receipts.

Step 5--Decorate the front as desired.  I glue ribbon down before I add my image.  Then I can tie the notebook shut, and can also attach a pen if desired.

Step 6--I like to add a scalloped piece of cardstock to the top of the legal pad itself.  It just adds a little color to the inside of the notepad.  Isn't that image of Stella with her list just perfect for a little notebook with my Christmas shopping list in it!

Here it is opened up, even with a receipt tucked into the little pocket!

This ABAC will be entered into challenges at
The challenge is Sparkly and Bright
The challenge is Anything Goes.
The challenge isTie it Up with a Big Red Bow
The challenge is Christmas.
The challenge is to make a Christmas gift.
The challenge is Christmas.

This card will be entered into the following challenges:
