Bugaboo New Release

Oh how I love this image from the new release today!  Jodie (at Bugaboo) has some awesome new Thanksgiving bobblehead images!  I used the Indian girl.  I had some leftover fall paper from last year with sparkly leaves, along with some copper colored solid shiny cardstock.  It sure did go good together!  I used Papertrey cardstock, circle nestabilities, SU sentiment, colored with copics, and added some orange stickles to accent the image.  Nothing fancy--but so cute!

This card will be entered into a challenge at:  http://www.craftyourpassionchallenges.blogspot.com/.  The challenge was "Clean and Simple".

Jodie always tries to have images up by 2:00 pm EST.  If you go and they are not there, just go back!  Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has created!

Craft Hos Chalenge

The Crafty Hos have a great new challenge for you today.  It is an inspiration challenge.  Check it out--and see if you want to use the colors, the landscape, whatever!  I decided to make a waterfall card that showed a landscape.  If you want to make a waterfall card, Stampin' Up has a good tutorial in the resources section.  I used some (very old!) green striped paper, Georgia Pacific and Bazzill cardstock, Papertrey ribbon, a card kit that I bought at Stampaway Convention in August in Cincinnati--if yuou ever get a chance to go, do so!), and colored my images with copics.  I'll try and show you the different stages of the card.

This was a fun card to make!  Play along with us--you might enjoy yourself, as I did!

Bugaboo Challenge

It's a new challenge for you from Bugaboo!  Be sure to go over and check out all of the details--and then play along with us!  Your challenge is to create a 3-D Halloween card/project.  I chose to do a notepad.  I bought a Mary Engelbreit notepad from Michaels, and altered it.  I added a Skelekinz image on the front, colored with copics, added some sparkle with a Sakura glitter pen, and tied some Papertrey ribbon around it.  If I give this to some little "trick or treater", her dentist will surely be pleased with me!

Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has created.  There are links on my righthand sidebar.  Play along with us!

Bugaboo Friday Freebie

What a cute new line that Jodie has for you today at Bugaboo.  If you do Halloween cards or projects, you will want to check out this bobblehead line.  For my Frankenstein card, I used Stampin' Up cardstock, last year's Halloween paper (without a name on it--of course!), circle nestabilities, a SU punch and stamp, some orange ribbon, and three candy corn embellishments I found.  I printed out the image twice, and cut out the second one.  I folded up two strips of cardstock much like you do a straw, and attached the second head with these.  It makes the head "bobble!"

Jodie always has the images up by 2:00 pm EST.  If you go and they are not there, just look around!  I'm sure you will find lots more that you would like to have!

Sew Many Challenges

Three months from today is Christmas Eve.  It's not too early to start thinking about Christmas--and that's what SMC has planned for today.  The new challenge is to make a Christmas project.  I chose to do a recipe card, as I am compiling a recipe book for Liz.  This is a good recipe for a new cook, as it is "easy peasy!"  For my card, I used Georgia Pacific cardstock, two different pieces of designer paper, red bling, and colored this adorable little angel with copics.  This recipe card will be great for Liz's cookbook!

This week's challenge is sponsored by Crop Chocolate, a scrapbooking company.  Be sure to check them out, as the winner of this week's challenge will win a $25 crop credit.  They run one daily special--and it's usually a good one!  Be sure, also, to visit the rest of the design team.  Get some inspiration--and then get started on your Christmas projects!

Bugaboo New Release

Bugaboo has a new release today--and Jodie has done it again!  Who is your favorite Bugaboo lady?  Who is your least favorite government agency?  If you answered Stella and the IRS, be sure to check this out!  The sentiment says "ever notice how THE IRS" when put together spells "THEIRS"?  Good one, huh?  For my card I used Papertrey cardstock, unknown ribbon, paper from Taylored Expressions, and colored my image with copics.  I used my new My Favorite Things star die, and added red star bling to it.

Jodie tries to have images up no later than 2:00 pm EST.  If you go to the site, and they are not there, just be sure to go back!  I can't wait to see the rest of this line, as well as the creations from the rest of the design team.

Operration Write Home

Operation Write Home is celebrating their birthday in September--and we cat (Bugaboo) have been invited to party with them!  OWH supports our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them.  We, at Bugaboo, are helping OWH celebrate--and we want you to help them also.  You could make a Christmas or a Birthday card (or a bunch for that matter!) for a soldier to send home.  Christmas cards need to be in the mail no later than October 30.    To find the shipping address for OWH, click on the link and find the address closest to you.  Be sure that your cards do not have glitter on them, as it's a safety hazard to our troops.  Please send handmade cards only, and OWH needs A2 envelopes included. "Operation Write Home" needs to be written on the backs of your cards, and you need to include a packing slip.  I plan on sending an entire box of cards, the I decided to share one with one.  Here it is:

As you can see, I made an easel card with Papertrey cardstock, and DP from a mat stack.  I used circle nestabilities, Papertrey ribbon, colored the image with copics, and added green bling to the ribbon.  Won't you play along with us?  It's for a very good cause.

Sew Many Challenges

Another Friday--another challenge from Sew Many Challenges.  Go there and check it out!  You are to create a card/project using embossing.  I chose to emboss with the swiss dots folder on my cuttlebug.  I used Papertrey cardstock and ribbon, DP from Taylored Expressions (I get the monthly kits--and just love the paper that is included:)), circle nestabilities, colored and cut out my SMC image, and added a little smooch to it!  The sentiment is from Stampin' Bella.

Be sure to play along with us!  This challenge is sponsored by Stitchy Stamps, and the lucky winner can win a prize package of 3 digi stamps of their choice (Stitchy Stamps only!)

The owner let some of the DT play along.  My card was made with SU cardstock, blossom nestabilities, Papertrey button, scalloped die, and ribbon, a scrap of polka dot paper, and the image was colored with copics.  I used a Stamping Bella image.

Tuesday = New Release Day at Bugaboo

Jodie has new images for us at Bugaboo, and they are good ones!  If you follow my blog at all, you know that I LOVE Stella--and the line today includes Stellas!  The one I am using shows Stella as a witch--perfect for getting ready for Halloween.  It's probably time to start thinking about that!  For my card, I used Stampin' Up and Papertrey cardstock, oval nestabilities, leftover Halloween paper from last year, added stickles to the moon, and glued on yellow bling.  The sentiment comes with the image!  Here's my card:

This card will be entered into challenges at:

Bugaboo Anything But a Card!

Periodically (on Mondays) one (or sometimes two!) of us on the Bugaboo design team share Anything But a Card (ABAC) with you.  It's a fun thing to alter something.  I used a mini lunchbox that I purchased from target.  Liz (our 18 year old)  will give this to the 4 year old boy next door.  He comes over occasionally to see if Liz can come out and play!  He's really disappointed now that she is away at college.  I added DP to the front and side of the tin, and cut out and glued on the image which was colored with copics.  I added matching ribbon to the handle.  I put crystal effects to his glasses.  Cute, huh?

This will be filled with candy--and placed in his Halloween bag.  I know he will love it!

This card will be entered in a challenge at:  http://ooh-la-la-creationschallenges.blogspot.com/.  The challenge is to use stripes.

Crafty Hos Challenge

Today the Crafty Hos have an easy-peasy challenge for you.  Use the colors blue, green, and yellow in your project!  I used a Stamping Bella image.  Actually, this card is one that I will be sending in to a monthly swap that I am in.  One of the other swappers sent the image and the design paper--and each of us create six cards.  It's been such a wonderful swap!  I used Papertrey cardstock, colored the adorable image with copics, added the ribbon and crocheted flower.  Here it is!

It's a New Bugaboo Challenge!!!!!

Don't you love challenges?  I do!  Today, Bugaboo has a new challenge for you.  Check it out!  It is called "A Stitch in Time" AND you are to use fall colors.  "Stitch/Time" can refer to time-related, actual sewing, buttons, etc!  I stretched the fall colors a little, but there is a lot of green and orangy/red (fall colors to me!)  I love the look of fall, but I sure hate to think of winter coming!  For my card, I used Papertrey cardstock, stitched around my image with my Janome sewing machine (I like it so much better now that Joy, one of our design team members, gave a tip to use clear thread in your bobbin.  It sure does help not to have to change bobbin thread all the time.  Thanks, Joy!!!  See, you should always check out the design members' blogs--because they give lots of inspiration as well as timely tips).  The polka designer paper is from Papertrey, and the other is a scrap I had.  I added some Papertrey ribbon, and a drink charm.

Be sure to go around to all of the design team members' blogs.  You'll be impressed, I'm sure.

Bugaboo Oldie but Goodie!

Yep--it's already Thursday!  We went out of town for a long Labor Day weekend (from Friday until Thursday)--and I am very mixed up on the day of the week.  To me, today is Tuesday.  Oh well--what do I know!  Since it is Thursday, I wanted to share a card for the little bit of summer that we have left.  We had better enjoy it!  I used a very summery color scheme--pink and green.  The cardstock is from Stampin' Up, and one piece of the designer paper is also (the pink argyle).  The other paper is "unknown!"  I used some bright green grosgrain ribbon, as well as two pieces of green bling.  I love this card--and hate to think of summer ending!

This card will be entered into a challenge at:

Sew Many Challenges!

On Fridays, we (http://www.sewmanychallenges.com/) always have a new challenge for you!  The challenge is to create a card for Grandparents Day (which is coming!)  The card should show love or thanks! Be sure to head over to the challenge blog, and check out all of the details.  While you are there, you can also check out the projects from the rest of the design team.  You won't be disappointed!
For my card, I used papers from Taylored Expressions, a nestabilities die, Papertrey cardstock, a sentiment from SU, cut out the image, and colored it with copics.  I added some stickles.

Today's challenge is sponsored by Purple Panda Designs.  The owner is Kayla Thomas, and her images can be found at http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPa....  Her blog address is http://kmt32894.blogspot.com/.  Check out her images!  They are really cute.  You could win four digital stamps of your choice from the Purple Panda Designs Store.  Here's what Kayla has to say:  "Hi!  I'm Kayla from Purple Panda Designs and I'm 16 years old.  I love to draw and I love Pandas  I love to color them purple, which is where my name came from.  I love to draw animals mostly.  My stamps are hand drawn from my own ideas.  Please be sure to visit my blog for updates and news about Purple Panda Designs.  Would love to have you as a follower.  I hope you enjoy my stamps."  I used one of Kayla's images and created a card, but I did not used one of her animals.  I chose a lighthouse image--and I think this card is perfect for a male!  I used Papertrey cardstock and twine, a rectangle nestability, and colored my image with copics.

Oldie but Goodie Day at Bugaboo!

It's Thursday; it's Oldie but Goodie Day at Bugaboo (http://www.bugaboostamps.com/).  Today I used this adorable little boy image.  He's playing fireman, and he has just rescured a cat from a tree.  Isn't this cute!  I used Papertrey cardstock as well as SU cardstock, a scrap of DP that I had, some red stars that I added on the corners and on the fireman uniform, and I colored my image with copics.  I love the way this card turned out.
