Crafty Hos Challenge!
Are you worn out? Today should be a great day just to stay in pj's and craft all day! The Crafty Hos have a new challenge for you today. Go over to the challenge blog--read all the details, check out what they did--and play along! For my card, I used Stampin' Up cardstock and DP. I had piece of metal that I ran through my cuttlebug, used scalloped scissors to trim my mat, colored a Bugaboo Scarlette image with copics, added a pearl swirly (I bought this last year at CHA, and I am so disappointed that there is no consumer show this year!) and a metal disc with another pearl--and stood back and marveled at this great New Year's card! Love the way this turned out.

Who wouldn't love a cute little dog?

Crafty Hos Challenge
New challenge at the Crafty Hos. Check out the blog, get a good look at the sketch, see what the rest of the DT has created, and then--start crafting! With all of the stress of this upcoming week, you need a little "down" time. For my card, I used one of my favorite (current) color combos--turquoise and yellowish/green. I used Papertrey cardstock, unknown DP, a Bugaboo image from the Skelekinz line, some ribbon I found in my drawer, and added the sketch that came with the image. Actually I made this card from an ATC that I had made for an ATC swap. If you have ATCs on hand, it sure does make it easy to make a card!

New Challenge at Bugaboo!
Today's challenge at Bugaboo is food-related! Good theme for this time of the year, isn't it? I'm dieting, so I have yet to bake even one cookie--and I don't plan on it. I imagine that Liz will want to make some of her "famous" fudge, though (her friends all expect to get some from her over the holidays!) For my project today, I created a 6 x 6 Christmas cookie recipe card. I'm creating a recipe book out of these for Liz. My recipe is for Hello Dollies--a quick and easy recipe that my mother used to make. For my card, I used Georgia Pacific cardstock for the base, Papertrey cardstock for the trim, two different DP from a Christmas pack that I had from last year, Papertrey's library card die (to hold the recipe), a ticket image, Papertrey rick rack die, and colored my image with copics. The recipe is as good as it sounds--and easy too!
Be sure to check out the challenge at the challenge blog. Read all the rules, drool over the prizes, look at what the rest of the design team has created--and then take some time and play along with us! It might even give you some thoughts for your holiday cooking:)

Friday Freebie Day at Bugaboo
Is your shopping finished? If not, Jodie has a really cute free image related to Christmas shopping. The character is Scarlette, and she is still shopping! I like to get my shopping finished early, but I do love to be out in the stores close to Christmas. I just don't want the stress of still shopping. For my card, I used two scraps of DP that I had--one of which I punched with a SU notebook punch, Papertrey and SU cardstock, and baker's twine. I colored my image with copics.
This card will be entered into a challenge at:
The theme of the challenge is Christmas.
Jodie makes every effort to hae images up in the shop by 2:00 pm EST. If you go and they are not yet there, just go back. Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has created.

Oldie, but Goodie!
Oh my gosh! I love this card that I created today. I used one of my favorite Bugaboo characters called Gus. Since he is about my own age, I know what he is referring to with this sentiment! The "golden years" don't always seem so great! For my card, I used Papertrey cardstock and ribbon, Papertrey polka dot DP plus a scrap of a coordinating piece, colored my image with copics, and added a ltitle bling. The sentiment is one that comes with the image. I also added Sakura glitter pen to the candles, Gus' glasses, and the beer bottle.

The challenge is Digi Day--use a digital image.

There are a few accessories also so that you can sit the kids on an ornament or a candy cane. Cute, cute, cute! For my card I used some foiled Christmas stripe paper, Papertrey cardstock and polka dot paper, reversible red/green ribbon, some baker's twine, colored my image with copics, and added some liquid to the Santa's hat. Easy peasy--and so cute!

ABAC--Bugaboo
I'm one of the chosen people who gets to post a special project today. I decided to take a nugget tin and make Christmas tags to fill it up. I always give a small gift to one of my nieces--and this is hers. I cut all of my tags out with my cricut--and, of course, used assorted Bugaboo images on all of them! Since Jodie has sooooo many cute images, it was hard to narrow it down to just a few. I colored all images with copics, and stapled Papertrey ribbon at the top. I also used liquid applique anytime there was a beard, snow, or fuzzy hat! My niece was here for a Christmas brunch yesterday--and she loved all of her tags.

Freebie Friday!
Jodie's at it again--another adorable freebie plus another new line! Today's image from Bugaboo features an old character, but in a new setting! It is "Crabby Cathy at Christmas". I think we could all insert our name in here for Cathery; don't we all get a little crabby around Christmas? Maybe not men though--they just sit around while the women do all of the cleaning, cooking, decorating, shopping, wrapping--at least it's that way in my house!
For my card, I used very untraditional Christmas colors. I found this DP in my stash, used Papertrey and SU cardstock, circle nestabilities, a Papertrey lace die which I threaded with unknown ribbon. I colored my image with copics, paper pieced the "S" with Papertrey DP, added some liquid applique to her Santa hat, and put blind around the scallops in the circle! I love it, but I hope you do just s@#! for Christmas (I just don't want to have to shop for it!) LOL

Oldie but Goodie Day at Bugaboo!
It happens to me every season! I start making cards early--and even before the holiday comes--I am sick of making that type of card. I was pleased to have an oldie but goodie day so that I could make something other than a Christmas card! I used Papertrey cardstock and ribbon, some golf paper I found (my BIL and SIL are both "golf nuts" so I'm always on the lookout for golf paper!), colored my image with copics, and added the seniment that came with the image. I inked around the sentiment, and ran a piece of paper through my cuttlebug to make Mr. Peanut's body look like a real peanut shell. If you think that's cute, thank Jeanie Witmer; I saw her do it on a card she made:) (See--I always tell you to be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has created; you get great ideas from them!)

New Release Day at Bugaboo Stamps
Another fantastic release day at Bugaboo. I'm constantly amazed by Jodie. How does she continue to produce two releases a week--and have them ALL be so cute! Today is no different. The new line is a Santa line--and what I have seen is adorable! I used my image for somelthing I really needed--some gift card holders. My grandchildren and neices and nephews are all teenagers and above, and they don't want things I pick out! I have found that it is just easier to give gift cards. I spent some time this past weekend making gift card holders, and I am pleased to say that everything is purchased, bagged, and tagged! I'm ready:)
For my card, I used Stampin'Up cardstock, Papertrey DP, a SU sentiment and small stamp with Versamark as a background, and colored my image with copics. I added liquid applique to Santa's beard, and put a rhinestone star at the end of his hat. I attached a paper clip with a little bow on it. I will show you two pictures of it. Note the inside! It has a section of a paper bag glued in to hold the gift card. I received a similar GC holder in a swap on SCS. Unfortunately, I don't know who created it, so I cannot give them credit.

If you are not familiar with these, check them out at Bugaboo. For my card, I used some Figgy Pudding paper that I found, some Papertrey designer paper, SU cardstock, oval nestabilities, and some beautiful ribbon from my friend Michele. Be sure to use the link on the right (she is a member of the Bugaboo DT, and check out the ribbon that she sells. It is fantastic! I colored my image with copics.
