Challenge # 5--Last Card for the Day
My last card uses another image from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ called Scralette morning. Remember if you want any Bugaboo images, there is a 15% off sale TODAY!!! For my card, I used a scrap of DP, Papertrey cardstock, sentiment, and scalloped die, ribbon from my stash, SU punch, copics, pearl bling, and added sparkly fluff to her hair. This is a sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp.
This card will be entered into challenge at:
1. http://sundaysketchandstamp.blogspot.com/. This is a sketch challenge.
2. http://delightfulsketches.blogspot.com/. Challenge is to use texture (which I did with the sparkly fluff).
Challenge # 4
Another Summertime Peeker from http://www.bugaboostamps.com--and/ my favorite from the line! This image is called watermelon, and it sure does remind me of summer. I love fresh fruit, and Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer--and therefore wonderful fruit! Watermelon was always my favorite. An uncle has movies of me (as a 5-year old) eating watermelon with juice running down both arms! As I said, I do love my fresh fruit!!!
For this card I used a sketch from Taylored Expressions, Papertrey cardstock and polka dot DP, additional DP from my stash, colored the image with copics, and added red bling. I used a color scheme of red, black, white, and green--watermelon colors!
This card will be entered into challenges at:
1. http://craftycreationschallenges.blogspot.com/. The challenge was to use your favorite stamp/image.
2. http://friendshavingfun.com/. The challenge was to show what Memorial Day means to you--and I said for me, it is the beginning of fresh fruit. YUMMY!
Challenge # 3
My third challenge card uses an image from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ called Super Hero. I found this Super Hero DP at Tuesday Mornings called Super Hero Specialty Collection--and I thought it was perfect for this image! I used SU and Papertrey cardstock, ribbon FX (a gift from a friend!) plus orange ribbon from my stash, a bling star, and colored my image with copics. This card is very simple, but I think great for a masculine card.
This card will be entered into several challenges:
1. http://s2gpapercraftingcontest.blogspot.com/. The challenge was to use a masculine image.
2. http://thecraftypad.blogspot.com/. The challenge was to make a masculine card.
3. http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/. The challenge was to use bright, fun colors.
4. http://totallystampalicious.blogspot.com/. The challenge was "What TV show inspires you?" My answer--any super hero-type shows!
Challenge # 2
My second card also uses an image from Jodie's new line at http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ called Summer Peakers Watering Can. I forgot to say in my first post that Jodie is running a 15% off sale which ends today! Check it out!
For my card I used scraps of paper from my stash, PTI cardstock, circle nestabilities, red and yellow rhinestones, and colored my image with copics. This is a sketch from treehouse stamps--and it is very cute!
This card will be entered into challenges at:
1. http://treehousestamps.blogspot.com/. Challenge THT05! was a sketch challenge.
2. http://www.charismacardz.blogspot.com/. The challenge is "Going Round in Circles".

Happy Memorial Day! Even for a retired person, a holiday is good--it means I had absolutely nothing that I had to do today, so I stamped! I will be sharing five different challenge cards with you today.
The first uses an image from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/. This is from the new line that Jodie introduced on Friday; be sure to check it out for the freebie image (not this one, but really cute!) This image is called Summer Peekers Beach Pail. I used a sketch from basic grey, Papertrey and SU cardstock, papertrey ribbon, and some designer paper that I bought at Tuesday Morning (sorry--no brand on the pieces I have left!)
This card will be entered into challenges at:

Crafty Hos Challenge
Sunday means another Crafty Hos Challenge. Today's challenge is to use a recipe--swirls, lush ribbon, and bling. The designer paper I used has swirls, I added bling to the corners of my nestability (one fell off before I took picture--and is MIA!), and I used Papertrey ribbon (I think it is very lush!) My image is from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ and is called Ruby Chocolate--Nature's Way. I used Papertrey cardstock and an SU punch.
Be sure to head over to http://www.craftyhoschallenge.blogspot.com/ and see what the rest of the DT has created.
This card will be entered into a challenge at http://just-hanna-stamps.blogspot.com/. The challenge is to create a monochromatic card.

Friday Freebie # 2
I used another one of the free images from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ for another card to share with you! This image, also from the Summertime Peekers, is called Ladybug. I used scraps of bug paper from my stash (and noticed after I finished the card that I ran the worded paper the wrong direction!). The cardstock is from Papertrey Ink, I colored my image with copics, used a SU sentiment and punch.
This card will be entered into challenges at:
1. http://crazy4challenges.blogspot.com/. C4C38 was a sketch challenge.
2. http://365cards.blogspot.com/. The challenge was to have at least 3 different types of bugs with a total of at least 10 bugs on your design.
Friday Freebie
Since it's Friday, Jodie, at http://www.bugaboostamps.com/, has two free images for you. Both are from the Summertime Peekers line, and the first one I will share is called Flower Pot. I used Gina K and Papertrey cardstock, Hippity Hoppity Dancing Daises designer paper, October Afternoon New Mint designer paper, Papertrey button, ribbon from Taylored Expressions, colored my image with copics, and added flower centers with my new Viva Pearl Pen. Love this card!
It will be entered into a challenge at http://www.ooh-la-la-creationschallenges.blogspot.com/. The challenge is called Bright and Cheerful.
Be sure to head over to http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.com/ and see what the rest of the design team has created. Check back to Jodie's store, and which of these new images you want. I can't wait to see the rest of the line! They should be up in the store no later than 2:00 p.m. EST.
Sew Many Challenges
There's a blog hop going on! Please head over to http://www.sewmanychallenges.com/, check out all of the details, find out whose blogs to hop to when, and play along! It sounds like fun:)
Today I was supposed to make a card using one of the older images called Eris--Bird Bath. I used some paper and rick rack that I got from Taylored Expressions, colored my image with copics, used oval nestabilities, and added Viva Pearl accents to the bubbles on the bird bath! That viva pearl pen is fun to use--it's one of my new toys. I made the card similar to a gate fold, but purposely made the fold a little off-center. (That is the truth!)

Oldie but Goodie Day
Since it's Thursday, it's Oldie but Goodie Day at http://www.bugaboostamps.com/. Today I used an image called Stella--Red Hats--I've Earned It. I made this card for a swap that I am in at SCS hosted by Kate. I love this image! I used Papertrey cardstock and DP, colored by image with copics, some felt trim from Michaels, and two pieces of colored bling. I used a circle punch to punch out the sentiment--"I've earned it!"

Challenge Card
Surprise! Surprise! I made a challenge card. It is a little out of the norm for me, however, as I used purple. The image I used is from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/, and is called BBBugs Butterfly. I used scraps of DP I had, Papertrey cardstock and ribbon, a prima color that I colored with a copic marker to match my design, topped with a crocheted flower made by a friend. I used a sketch from an old Critter Challenge.
This card will be entered into a challenge at http://flutterbywednesdays.blogspot.com/. This is an open challenge, but must have a butterfly, fairy, or angel. Since the image is a Bugaboo Brat Bug Butterfly, this is certainly appropriate!

Challenge # 2 (last for the day)
My second challenge card is a get well card from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/. It uses the image called Hospital Food from the Nursing Stella line. I used SU cardstock and designer Paper, three pieces of black bling, a sentiment from SU, and colored my image with copics (What! No Papertrey items at all--that usually doesn't happen!)
This card will be entered into three challenges:
1. http://www.kaboodledoodles.blogspot.com/. The challenge is to make a monochromatic card (Bugaboo is sponsoring this challenge). Check it out, and play along!
2. http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/. Sketch challenge TPE # 67.

Challenge Card # 1
Finally I took a little time to make two challenge cards. I have been so busy getting graduation invitations and thank you cards made for Liz. Seven school days left--I think I may be as anxious as she is!!! This card uses an image from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ was one of the freebie stamps that Jodie offered when we reached a certain level of followers. I think it is so cute--and so summery (looking so forward to that!). For this card, I used a scrap of DP from my stash, SU and Papertrey cardstock, Papertrey ribbon, my circle and scalloped nestabilities, and colored my image with copics. I used a Sakhure glitter pen on the sand and crystal effects on the sun glasses.
This card will be entered into a pink and green challenge at http://foreverfriendschallengeblog.blogspot.com/.
Friday Freebie Day! (Bugaboo)
Yes, it is Friday! In addition to the weekend coming, it is also time for a freebie image from Jodie at http://www.bugaboostamps.com/. The free image (I love it!) is called Ruby--chocolate. I can't wait to see the rest of this line. If there is no chocolate in heaven...I'm not going! Perfect!!!
For my card, I used Papertrey cardstock, a scrap of DP (I have lots of those without names--sorry!), Papertrey ribbon, an SU punch, and Bella sketch BSC 27. I colored the image with copics, and then put crystal effects on the chocolates to make them look more realistic! They look good enough to eat, don't they?
Remember to go and check what the rest of the design team has created--and then check out the new line. Images should be up NO later than 2:00 P.M. EST.
Sew Many Challenges
I made a round easel card! These are fun!!!! Sew Many Challenges (http://www.sewmanychallenges.com/) today for "Anything Goes". Go over and check it out--and play along with us! How easy can this be--do whatever you want:)
For my card, I used an image called Girl with Heart. I used some scraps of paper from my stash, SU cardstock, colored my image with copics, added one piece of yellow bling, and used my round and scalloped nestabilities. They certainly make these round easel cards easy!
Play along with us!

Oldie but Goodie Day
On Thursdays, the design team from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ shares cards made from images that are not brand, spankin' new! Today, I chose an image called Stella Calendar Months--July USA. Okay, I am a little ahead of the game with a 4th of July card, but it doesn't hurt to be prepared, does it? I've been working on Liz's graduation party invitations and thank yous--so it was nice to do something a little different! (Also, I'm sending this card in for one of my favorite swaps on SCS!)
For my card, I used only a little bit of designer paper (red and polka dot--don't know the manufacturer), Papertrey cardstock and ribbon, stars that I cut with my Cricut plus one that came from my stash, and I colored my image with copics. I usually use lots of designer paper, so this was a different look for me--but I really like it! I love this sentiment which says "Oh say can you see...? sure...just not as well as I used to!" Sure is me!!!

For this card, I used an image from http://www.sewmanychallenges.com/ called Morty--Joy,some Christmas paper left over from last year, Papertrey cardstock, colored with copics, and used a last Making Memories brad that I bought at Tuesday Mornings. It perfectly matched this paper.
Now, I will be back later with a challenge card (because the one I made is really supposed to be for this coming Friday!) See how messed up I am. Seniors moments have really increased since my 65th birthday! LOL!

Oh well, I won't have to do that much longer :) Today I am going to show you a card I made using an image from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ called BB Sean. This line is so cute! I used Papertrey cardstock, ribbon, and my new Papertrey designer paper. Love the way these colors go together. I colored my image with copics and added blue pearls to the corners as well as the flower.

Bugaboo Challenge
We have a new challenge for you at Bugaboo. Today's challenge is called "Flower Power". Join us and make a card or project that ties in somehow with flowers! Easy as can be! Head over to http://www.catchthebugblog.blogspot.com/ to read all of the details. You will also be able to see cards made by all of the design team! Play along with us--it could be worth your while:) If you don't have any Bugaboo images, go to http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ and look around. There are lots of great images there! I used one called Stella Tidbits Blocks--teenagers and flowers. Since I am raising a granddaughter--I can tell you that this sentiment is true!!!!! Raising teenagers is like growing flowers...you watch them grow, give them love, all the while attempting not to kill them! True, so true! For my card, I made a tent card and used Papertrey cardstock, some unknown DP from my stash, a Prima Flower embellishment (love these with the Kraft paper), one of my new Martha Stewart border punches from Tuesday Mornings, and colored my image with copics.
This card will be entered into a challenge at:

Challenge Card
This card will be entered in the challenge at http://aliceinwonderlandchallenge.blogspot.com/.
Challenge was to create child's birthday card.
Bugaboo is sponsoring a challenge over at http://aliceinwonderlandchallenge.blogspot.com/ so I decided to make a card for this challenge. The challenge is called Chapter 11--Little People, Big Wonderland, and you were to make a birthday card for a child. I used the image called Storybook--Queen from www.bugaboostamps.com/ . I used some scraps of designer paper that I had in my stash, papertrey cardstock and buttons, added a sentiment from Papertrey, and colored my image with copics. Although it is a cute card for a little girl, it would be an even cuter invitation to a little girl's birthday party!
Oldie but Goodie Day
Right before Jim and I went to Las Vegas, I took a card class. We made two cards--one was a waterfall card. That was a first for me, but it certainly won't be the last! I loved the card so much, so I came home and made this card to share. I used three images from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/. The images I used are Bugaboo Brats Bugs--Butterfly, Bee, and Snail. For the last part of the waterfall, I computer-generated a sentiment that says "Bug Me Anytime". I used Papertrey cardstock and ribbon, some DP from my stash, a felt butterfly that I colored with a copic marker to match my paper, and added bling. I will be making more of these cards!
My pictures show the card in each of the sections.

Sew Many Cards
Today I made a card with an image from http://www.sewmanycards.com/ called Duncan the Duckling in Umbrella. Love this little image--especially with the amount of rain we have recently had! Today is bright and sunny, but before that, we have had lots of rain. For this card, I used some Making memories Flutter DP, Papertrey cardstock, a Papertrey sentiment from Scattered Showers, colored the image with copics, and added blue pearls to the umbrella. I love this designer paper with this image!
This card will be entered into a challenge at http://paperplaychallenges.blogspot.com/. For the challenge, you were to use pretty pastels!

Tuesday = New Release
Tuesdays are always new release days at http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ -- and today is no different! What a new release it is today! Jodie has several new lines to be released. Be sure to head over there and check them out! I know I will be ordering:) I'm going to share three different cards with you today.
First is a recipe card. Liz will be going off to college in August, and she has asked me to put some of her favorite recipes together in a recipe book. She thinks she will be cooking (LOL!) I'm doing it though. This recipe card uses an image from the ant collection. I am fixing her a 6x6" recipe book. I used Bazill cardstock, graphic 45 Domestic Goddess collection paper, ant embellishments, and some bling on the antlers.

My second card uses an image from a new Stella line. I used papertrey cardstock, some DP from my stash, am embellishment from my stash, colored the image with copics, and added a bella sentiment. I used my new Papertrey rick rack die to cut two strips of rick rack to add to the front of the card. Love this Stella image!
My last card uses one of the new Wee Ones Angel images. I again used Papertrey cardstock, DP from my stash, a star button that I colored to match the cardstock, some yellow rhinestones, and another Bella sentiment. This image too was colored with copics. I think this image and sentiment make a wonderful thank you card!
Be sure to head over to http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.com/ to check out the cards and projects that the rest of the design team made today. Then be sure to go and get some of these wonderful new images!
Last, I want to share with you a picture of Liz at her boyfriend's senior prom. She looked so pretty!

Bugaboo Monday--Anything but a Card
My granddaughter, Liz, graduates from high school on June 5. She has been involved in a tutoring program for two years and a mentoring program for one year. In both programs this year, she works with third grade girls. She wanted something that she could give them at the end of the school year, so I made these summer boxes for them. They are mini lunchboxes made by Tim Holtz. I bought them (of course!) at Tuesday Mornings. I added images from the skelekinz line from Bugaboo (http://www.bugaboostamps.com/) to the front and back of the boxes, used some Papertrey DP--and tied coordinating ribbons around the handles. They will be filled with summer essentials such as sidewalk chalk, jump ropes, ponytail holders, bubbles, etc. I think the little girlies will love them!
